Oh yes, I am, except when it comes to GW Hey after all I collect Tyranids.

Seriously though, after what GW did with The Hobbit, I am not very optimistic what they do with the license. I guess I am just very leary when it comes to LotR line I find itbetter to expect to be to have low expectations of GW now so I am actually surprised instead of being excited and become even more disappointed and jaded.

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

Ruins of Osgiliath are actually cheaper than they were before! By about 20%!

Whilst I'm sad I didn't order one, I'm also ecstatic in the sense that they know this is going to sell well.

So if you had your choice what would be the next kit you would want to see come back?

I would love to see the missing Mahud and Dunlendings come back.
And if sharkeys ruffians came back i would have to order at least 10 blisters.

I sadly missed out on getting my hands on them and would love to see them come back.

Also i could not help but notice the Scouring of the Shire box came back in METAL! My wife and bank account would rue the day the Mahud, Dunlendings and or ruffians came back in metal.

Definitely want to see the mounted Gandalf the Grey come back, that's an awesome model. There are already plenty of Gandalfs out there, though, both Grey and White so I doubt it's a priority... Best case scenario it's released on its own, but I'd be happy with it being packaged another Gandalf The Grey... the original hat-wearing Fellowship one is very nice.

I think it was mentioned that everything coming back would return in the material it was last printed in, I don't think the Ruffians ever went Finecast, the Dunlendings might have done though.

No the ruffians never saw finecast and neither did the dunlending line thankfully.

Currently you can get 3x metal dunlending warriors with hand weapons and shields for $13.25 USD. But im the type that likes my minis to match and not having bowmen and 2 handed weapons that fit the style is the only thing keeping me from picking them up.
If the command came back that would be lovely. but worst case i can convert me up some caps and banners.

The ruffians though. i just cant find alternate minis that even come close to comparing. might be just me but man i loved those minis.

Yeah, the rest of the Dunlendings would be a v welcome return, and the ruffians would definitely get me to order a couple of blisters

But where are they getting the metal from? Supposedly GW had sold off all their tin a couple of years ago. Selling off the last of some stuff makes sense, but re-making and re-releasing it in metal? I didn't think they were doing that any longer.

Its not like the Scouring of the Shire is the only metal miniatures they make. There's a fair number of kits which were never redone as plastic or Finecast which are still available for both 40K, AoS and SBG.

I want the original ruffians to be made as a bulk 12-24 man kit. If they have to be plastic, so be it, but I want them to be an affordable endeavor since they are a horde army. Actually, can hobbits get that treatment too? I mean, I am making my own plastic hobbit conversions, but.... I love the other misc hobbit sculpts.

GW got rid of all their metal production facilities in the USA. So they're all imported from the UK.

Gee, at this rate I don't think I'll ever get to own that set. It came out in my off-time when I was out of the hobby and now it seems to just sell-out before I get a chance to get even one set!

I'm hoping GW just keep drip releasing it though, given its evident popularity. Providing the costs are not too prohibitive it seems a guaranteed money-maker for them.

It'll become irrelevant when the game is back into swing, and due to how slow the sub-forum is on having topics fall to page two, this thread will be easy enough to find.
