I... actually don't know. Help?

Quick quick quick, I need a name for my Wolves! They used to be a Great company but were obliterated after the Inquisition called exterminatus during a battle they fought. They're ferocious and bloodthirsty. Any cool names?

OK, here is my semi-phoned in entry. Not doing a display board. But I marked off a 2’x2’ section of my table, and used the custom webway portal I made for a LoER contest earlier this year. The paint on these guys spans over two decades. Some, like the old guardians and flacons, date from 2nd-3rd edition. Two of the Dire Avengers I just finished off today. Even though the exarch is a bit of old RT lead. You can tell the old stuff as it was done in my black wash everything stage. Glad that’s behind me.

Should be approximately an 1,850 point playable list.

That's awesome Nev!
Thank you for still making the effort, that really was the point of this.

Despite being a work in progress for a couple of decades, this contest helped push me to finish up some units and get it so I could actually field an army with my Eldar. Specifically the fire dragons and dire avengers. I needed those guys to make a more balanced army that wasn’t just putting units on the table to make points. I think I’m still stretching a little bit to get to 1,850, but should be able to do a solid thematic 1,500 now.

I don't think I could find a board large enough to contain my entire armored legion of tanks and fit terrain.

Is it possible to submit just a full army picture on an open space?

That'd be fine for "Armies on a plane."

Army on.... 3 giant tables (two folding, and 1 large dinning table). or a plane.

I couldn't tell you the points if I tried.
But it consists of.

A number of custom SM (center-center of front table), Skitarii (front-left of front table), MT Scions (front-right of front table), IG infantry + HWT (can't miss them.) , HQs and HQ support (Front-center).
including of course. A lot of tanks, artillery, APCs, 3 flyers (2 Vendettas, 1 Stormhawk), 1 Knight, and even 3 Super Weapons (War Zeppelin, Ordinatus Majoris, Atomic Cannon).

Each vehicle is converted/customized/scratch built in some way to some degree. Your going to have to zoom-in to see everyone in there.

I had to squish myself into the closet to get everything in frame.

Holy...
That must have taken you longer to get out on the table than most 40k games last!

Not sure. The tanks didn't take too long due to their size. its the infantry that were a pain. having to place down each and every individual one... uggh.... and many are unpainted or not even based.

Not looking forward to painting them. If they will be painted at all.

That and the sheer number of guys is why I took the picture at home. As opposed to going out to the FLGS. The tables are usually in use and while most are ok with big displays, they would rather prefer them to be played on.

I just finished my display. Time and money limited me, I am going to start on the one for next year earlier. Size was determined by the scrap board I could find (16"X20"), but I think I have a nice little display.

I plan on taking my board to the store in Chesterfield Saturday, wish me luck!

Thanks

I... actually don't know. Help?

I used probably 3kg of plaster mixed with PVA and paint, slathered it all over and then just painted on it. The snow is something I'm really proud of: I made a mix of baking soda, water, PVA and white paint, allpied it, then sprinkled lots and lots of snow powder (white sand) and sprayed the whole thing with diluted PVA.

OK, some better pictures and a bit of wood trim.

With some close ups:

I am so impressed with some of the boards I see here, mine is quite humble compared to this crowd. I need to step it up next year.

B.T.W. I am going to the Chesterfield store for Armies on Parade tomorrow, what is it like? Besides showing off armies is there any activities? Or should we droop it off, look a bit and come back that evening to pick the army up?

Thanks.

Can we extend deadlines for photos until the 16th? I'm going to try to get to my local GW for Armies on Parade today (braving a ridiculous storm if I do), and I don't know when I'll have time to take official pics.

Hey guys! Took my army to armies on parade today and foolishly forgot to take any photos... there were some stunning armies there and it was pretty fun.

I had a mad rush to make my board in time but i managed it, heres a wip of the mad rush i had last night...

And here's the final product. I dont think its too bad considering the time taken.

Cheers guys
