One of the most recent models that'll be in this army - and currently available (albeit in finecast rather than metal like this one), a 2003 sculpt Rotbringer Sorceror:

There'll be three Beasts in my army. One brown, one green, and one a sickly beige. Open to suggestions for names for them.

Family shot of the horde so far:

Wonderfully disgusting looking horde!

I saw with eyes then young, and this is my testament.

These look really good, winterdyne - has the army continued to grow in the meantime?

Love the classic Nurgle look combined with top shelf painting. I like older figures that are more "humble" and thus much more charming.

May I suggest "the Bounding Slobber" for one of your beasts?

Oh yes, it has.

Currenty in progress:
10 more v1 plaguebearers (1989)
10 v2 plaguebearers (1992/1994)
6 more bases of nurglings (1989)
Harbinger of Decay (2003)
Plague Elemental (1985)

Then...
2 more Great Unclean Ones (1989)
10 more v2 plaguebearers (1992-1994)
3 more bases of nurglings (1989)
Palanquin with converted chaos knight champion (1989)
Converted Palanquin with sorceror (1989)
2 x 10 Pestigor (2003)
20 Chaos Marauders (2002)
10 Chaos Warriors (1995? Plastic/metal hybrid)

Up to three Gnarlmaws, and the first Plaguebearer unit is complete at 30 strong...

I feel like I haven't checked this out in a while, because the throng has really grown! The full strength plague bearer horde looks grand, even before you factor in the heavy metal oldhammer glam

Triple gnarlmaws is a feat in itself too, if I've ever seen three in one place they were most certainly not painted. Which says nothing about how well you've carried your subdued Nurgle palette across the trees, great work

Up to three beasts, and 9 bases of nurglings, which is what I need for the upcoming tourney (unless all of a sudden summoning becomes dependent solely on contagion). Wormslobber Taintvex Nurgle now has some equipment (home-made 3d prints, a bit of root, and some water filter bits.

Cool Vintage Models!

I am a fan of the original Great Unclean One kit from about the Rogue Trader days because there were so many options for the build.

Everything looks splendid!

Thank You for sharing Your Art Work! :-)

20 2002 era metal Chaos Marauders. 3d-printed shields as they don't come with them.

Brings the army up to 2000 points... and a fairly hefty weight:

Unit looks great, army even more impressive

I do love me a heavy metal force, very proper. On the marauders, credit on the special edition chieftain in particular (right? I had him at one point, think he was GD exclusive or something).

I saw your army pic pop up on Facebook today, was hoping to get a closer look and found the thread! These are all stunning. I've been stocking up on old metal Nurgle boys myself lately, have a lot of the same as you so this serves as some great inspiration! I'm mixing old with new, so my lead GUOs are going to be used as Beasts instead, along with one of the original slug Beast which is on its way to me now. I'm going to use the more recent GUO as a Daemon Prince. I wasn't sure what to use all of my various Champions as, I love your idea of using then as Blightkings but I've already started a few on the smaller bases

Fantastic looking miniatures, just a shame you couldn't find some proper square Oldhammer bases.

Phenomenal. You can really tell by models like the Harbinger as to how sombre the tone was becoming.

I was under the impression it was because AoS generally uses circular bases? (However it's mentioned elsewhere in the thread that measurements are made from the model...)

In AoS2.0 all measurements are made from the bases now, and AoS bases are round. They've also now released a list of base sizes for all AoS models. I'm sure winterdyne doesn't want to hear that Plaguebearers are now on 32 mm bases instead of 25s, similar to what happened to Space Marines in the last couple years. It looks like his movement trays might actually get him to 32, so maybe he could make the measurements from there.

PS- I totally stole your idea of using the old Champions as Blightkings. Printed up some adapter rings to up the base size on the ones I'd already assembled and prepped.

I've known for a long while the current size is 32mm. I'm not rebasing these or the other unit I'd already got assembled before the change came in. I might also go the adapter ring route at some point.
