@battyrat - good work on the priming... even getting that done properly everything is an important.step
@stormatious - thanks. I looked through a book on tanks and chose a colour scheme I thought was easy to do. Having based on black means I don't need to muck about too much on base coating smoothly. Big spray and it's good to.go.
The disruptive pattern colours I chose to.match the infantry I'd done already, based broadly on British/NATO woodland camo from the 90s. On my original.tanks I just brush painted the patches on. This time around I've used an airbrush to lay out the pattern and then tidied up.with a brush.
Once I've got them done I might move on to a cohesive bit of.weathering, but my challenge just now.is to.get them.to tabletop.standard at least.
@Shrub- it's a Laser Destroyer. Forgeworld don't seem to door any more but it used to do.a Destroyer tank hunter with a big ass laser cannon. This is my.take on that inspired a little.bit by the good old Swedish S tank.
Looks like they still do the lower tech version with the laser cannon replaced by a demolisher

Just something I've been finding recently that helps with motivation and progress.
Cutting all the specific parts out for each model in a box and leaving them in a stack with the base (often stacked on the base upturned). I find that this means that I can take a full box of sprue; cut all the parts off and stack them up, put the spares in my bits box and then get rid of the sprue and box.
This leaves me a small series of piles of models ready to be built and which I can reach for and work on whenever the moment strikes. No pausing to find the box; find the parts in the building guide and clip them out. It's a really small saving in time in the "instant" but means that one can fill in a lot of process on mould line cleaning in little bursts. I find it also visually helps motivate me.
Note this idea assumes that you've space (not much honestly) which is safe to store parts on. So it wants to be very stable; firm and not anywhere that kids/pets/etc.. can fiddle/bump into or otherwise mess things up. Although if you've a selection of resealable plastic wallets or small boxes you can always store each models worth of parts within those to avoid parts getting lost/moved around/jumbled up.

I got caught up doing DIY today so only a little progress.
Suddenly, hazard stripes!
There are a couple of leaky bits, but I should be able to either fix them or use them as the basis of weathering damage

@Flinty. - Laser Destroyer, eh? Sounds... destructive... . The Hazard stripes are looking good. And as you say, perfect excuse for some battle damage.
@Turnip Jedi - I feel you on the procrastination. I looked at brush and just went "Yeah, nah. Can't be arsed." So no progress at all for me today. Maybe tomorrow.
@Overread - Thats sort of what I do. I cut all the bits out and lay them out how I want to build them. Helps me visualise what I want to do with them. I found that taking photos of the bits laid out too helps. That way if they get mixed up or I (inevitably) switch projects and put them aside I have some reference as to what I was doing with them.
@ShadowCaptainMathius - Nice terrain. I like industrial vehicles. What kit are they from? Are they GW?
@Nedsta. - What's the big metal dealie on the back?
@WaaaghRob - Cool grot. Nicely painted. How many more to go?
@Skylark - Good work on the the Space Wolf, mate.
No work from me today due to aforementioned procrastination. Tomorrow. Definitely tomorrow.

Nice to see peoples progress, some good looking stuff.
I have learnt a very important hobby lesson over the last couple of days, when painting large metal models do not drop them on to a concrete floor. Doing it once is bad, three times is just bloody stupid... So I will be coming up well short of my stated goal but I should have my Warlock proxy finished by tonight (unless I drop it again).
@Snrub, come on mate step away from the dakka and pick up a brush, just ten minutes wont hurt

@Snrub The big metal dome on the back is a 1/35 ECM from a Hummer. Awaiting some tubing to arrive so I can build an extending sight for the top plate.

I could really use some extra motivation to push through to the finish line in some things I’ve been planning.
My goals for this week would be to finish building and magnetising the knights renegade box I have. Finish up my leviathan dreadnaught that I have been procrastinating with and get the base greens down on a box of vanguard veterans.

@ingtaer - Yeah yeah alright. I guess that is why i'm here. Tomorrow. 1 Assault marine at the very least.
@Nedsta - Wait, so if i've searched the right definition of ECM you are making a remote control tank? Because that's awesome.
@Obispal - Do the basecoats first, mate. Slap em on quick then use the momentum to knock off the Leviathan dread. I'm with you on the Knight Renegade though. That was my first purchase after I got back in to the hobby a month or so ago. It keeps staring me in the face and I've yet to work up the gumption to tackle it. So do me a favour and do it first!

No no, I wish. It's an bomb jammer that the Hummer used. This is just a 1/35 scale version of it, just metal and brass and completely non functional.

Okay I finally got my Warlock proxy finished, though it seems to have some new stealth technology that makes it resistant to photography. But here she is;
This week I have a load of new models coming, so my goal is to get them cleaned, assembled and primed. If that doesnt take too long then also going to try and get some more EA ships painted.

Any way iv basicly finished all the tanks, iv washed the metalic parts on them and done the red parts, and also the tracks etc, i had two strip two tanks that you can see in the other pictures, they still all need a base coat of addon black, and a few little touch ups here any there.
NOTE: NO BLACK BASE HAS BEEN ADDED YET, MOST LIKELY WILL PAINT OVER THE STEEL MARKS AROUND THE EXAUST CHIMNEYS. Also it may look like iv done nothing more from the other posts, but i assure you i have done 2 whole tanks and stripped them and little gold/steel parts here and there on the others, plus i washed them all.
Iv also finished almost all the troops, just need to do one more check over with the steel parts and then paint the red eyes. I have been basicly doing all at the same time, first the gold on them all, then silver on all etc etc etc.

My update from this week:
Goals:
- assemble all Endless Spells from the metallic sprue (Cogs, swords and one portal done)
- assemble a unit of Plague Drones to go with the Daemon Prince
Have done the Endless Spells and one realmgate. Not a good week. It's too hot in the attic to get much done.
Nurglings and Plague Drones pushed down the queue.
Goals this week:
- assemble AoS terrain pieces

Nice to see some progress Snrub have you slain your procrastination?
First supply drop came through today;
From left to right; Ipsha Battleglobe, Brakiri Halik, Narn G'Vrahn, Whitestar Gunships.
2nd row; Minbari Nial fighters, FA scale Minbari cruisers, whitestar fighters, just the flash that fell off in the bags...
This is going to take a while.
This is one small Whitestar (the base is 1")

No unfortunately, I haven't. Much like the greater daemons of the warp, it can only be banished for a time, and never truly killed. It always rears it's head again before too long and strikes my brush hand with it's apathetic venom!
This is my daily existence.

Babylon 5 ACTA for most, the littlest ones are for Fleet Action (though being used in ACTA as various things).
I fully get the procrastination thing, this year I have painted up 40?ish models to a reasonable standard, more than I have done in the previous 28 years of gaming combined... I really hate painting but with the campaign log I am posting here it is really needed. So every evening after dinner I force myself to sit in my freezing cold garage, laptop screening something I have seen loads of times before (so it isn't much of a distraction) and get to it. Though often I spend more time on here or chatting than I do actually painting... But like now I am just waiting for some paint to dry before I can varnish a couple of patrol boats I have just finished. Will post them up later before I crack into cleaning up my new toys...

Why do you sit in the cold garage? does this help your paint in some way? ( perhaps drying out )?

No it helps with my motivation, if I am warm and cosy then the chances are I will be spending my time doing something else, if I am freezing my knackers off it motivates me to actually paint (else why the hell else would I be sat in the middle of winter in an unheated room?). It sounds weird I am sure but it seems to work for me!
It also means no one else will be wanting to sit near me and pester me and I can also lock my cat out as he is always wanting to get involved and either sit on my lap/shoulders or constantly headbutting me.
I use a wet pallet so never have an issue with paint drying out.
Edit; Got my Hermes patrol boats done;
