Is this a reskin of Frostgrave/Ghost Archipelago?
I notice it's d20 the same and I saw a comment about a someone making their warband with a ranger and trainee?
Does it need a Boss, subboss and band of red shirts in the same way?

The main difference to Frostgrave is that it’s a solo / co operative RPG Wargame where you play set missions from a campaign book so less replayability but a very good RPG lite experience.

Sort of. The base rules are very similar but when building your group there is no equivalent of the apprentice (Frostgrave) or warden (Ghost Archipelago). Instead the only 'powerful' guy is the Ranger himself, and you spend resources to fill out the rest of the party with archers, rogues, dogs, knights and the like. Each companion type will feel like one of the henchmen or crewmen types you could take in the other games but the big difference here is that they ALL gain experience and can level up.

Thanks for the reply.
So generally I'd be fine using some of the rogues, archers and warrior type models I have from Frostgrave already?

Nice to know. Although I bought everything that came out for Frostgrave, whenever my wife and I played, we ended up sharing treasure by not going for the same piles, as well as only fighting the npc monster models. I figure co-op would be a much better style for us.

How heavy a requirement is there on specific terrain pieces. I know some of the Frostgrave ones were quite specific about what was needed. Off the top of my head I'm talking about the library.

Currently most played: Silent Death, Mars Code Aurora, Battletech, Warcrow and Infinity.

The missions are quite specific on what terrain is required but if you have buildings, trees, rivers, etc then you are covered. However, some missions do take place inside so I am improvising with paper terrain for those.

For my Ranger I am using the Frostgrave Assassin model, he is backed up by two Ghost archipelago heritors, Frostgrave warhound (barbarian version), Frostgrave hawk, Frostgrave barbarian tracker, Oathmark Human Knight and a Ranger in training (one of the Frostgrave Semova sisters). Used the Frostgrave human sprue to make the peasants the first mission needs.

TBH the book is more along the lines of what people call a toolbox for designing yourmown adventures. I wouldn’t worry about cleaving too closely to the example campaign.

This sounds really interesting and worth a look. I'm all set for the terrain, that's for sure.
