Well, Guess I'm starting a Primaris army for the Iron hands. All I've needed to do it is Techmarines, now I got one. Let's hope for a boxed set though, that'd be dope.

I'm wondering now if the reason we haven't gotten an updated Marine book like the Chaos one is that they've got Gravis stuff coming too...because that Iron Hands guy is wearing Gravis armor.

I would be compelled to think so. Warhammer Fest will likely have some previews for some more Marines stuff and talk about the updated codex. I would bet we will see the regular kits of the Vanguard Marine units too.

a gravis release with the vanguard stuff would be huge.
assuming a single new gravis unit you'd be looking at, bare minimum a half dozen infantry kits alone.

a modified gravis pattern for heavy infantry would kickass. I know agressors kinda fill that role, but the suppressors are an interesting unit and it'll be interesting to see how they go from here.

Probably. But we haven't had a big Marine release in two years. So I wouldn't be surprised. But CSM had eight kits. I would more expect to see just the the Infiltrators, Eliminators, and Suppressors, and then two or three Gravis kits. Who knows.

I'm hoping for a codex or at the very least a white dwarf treatment for RK. I so hope RK gets a Chaos Dominus chassis. I'm already maxed out on Questoris knights for my army. The FW Chaos knight kit is amazing, so a new plastic kit doesn't help me lol.

I don't think GW will be producing any normal marine kits anymore. FW might still do some normal Marines, but those would be Heresy themed.

FW will do and still are, they are still releasing heresy stuff and plan to do so for the forseable future.
As for the 40k studio, they have listened to vocal demands on the internet for stuff to be made or made available in the last few years in the post Kirby era, so you never know, there is a small possibility they may listen to those of us asking for continued normal (real) marine kits

And they'll be part of a game system that takes place in AoS's universe on a world that has geography and cultures similar to that of Earth's (albeit fantastical), with combat that's heavily based on classical, close order formations instead of loose blobs of infantry running around everywhere like headless chooks.

I think they are meant to be power work boots It's power armor and heroic scale, so the heel is a little exaggerated.

they released Primaris as and additional marine force not a replacement marine force which is that they will be if they stop releasing real marines.
The term "additional" is marketing speech and means replacement in proper English. I saw the writing on the wall as soon as the first Primaris showed up. Get real people, new marine models will all be in Primaris size.

Alright I'll bite.
What kits could you make using classic marines? I'm pretty sure this line is complete. And provided they keep selling GW will keep producing.
Seriously what other classic marine kit could you make? That's why Primaris exist, resell basically the same thing

The Tomb Kings re-release was announced on the first of April 2019. So there is no reason for any sort of snarky comments on your part. They will rise again from the sand of time to haunt the tables of gaming stores all around the globe. Have a little bit of faith in GW. I have everything I need for my SM collection but newbies will be stuck in the future with imo atrocious Primaris models with the exception of the tactical dudes (Intercessor?).
Speaking of classic SM kits only one comes to my mind which I would have had in my collection:
The techmarine with the artillery piece on tracks. It was first released in metal and was said to be a nightmare to assemble and so I didn´t buy it. Later it was released in finecast and everybody and his dog know that you don´t buy anything related to this material. So I am asking now: When will this kit be released in plastic? Automatically Appended Next Post: Crimson wrote:The chaos warband is bloody excellent. These are the Chaos Marauders I have always wanted. I will definitely get some, maybe even enough for a small AOS army. I think they would go great with the Darkoath characters.
And in general, I think these Warcry teams are an amazing thing for Chaos. So much more options. You can theme your army around aesthetic of one warband, or you could make each unit unique, representing an army that some warlorld has drawn from several different tribes.
The Iron Hand character is great, though I'm disappointed that it is a named character instead of a generic one. I really want a Primaris Techmarine.
Yeah, they look great but why can´t the majority of them afford boots? Their idols He-Man and Conan ran around with fur boots so why can´t these guys?

imagine being so utterly privileged and entitled that you receive a brand new plastic HQ model for your faction out of the blue and whinging that he's wearing the wrong kind of shoes so he doesn't match perfectly with the particular one of the four up-to-date variant kits produced for your faction's basic troop choice you like best.
I'm sitting here staring at the current techmarine and this new dude has very slightly different shoes, very slightly different kneepads and probably the little round thing on his backpack...honestly the new guy's armor is actually closer to the classic space marine armor design than the existing techmarine. He doesn't have the segmented leg armor, chestplate is round like oldmarines rather than flat, backpack has vents like oldmarines unlike current guy whose servo rig attachment points replace the vents...
just amazing.

Christ, the people thinking that the Iron Father is wearing high heels are clearly demonstrating they have never seen, nor worn, boots before. SMDH.
My US Army boots have heels on them too. So do USMC issue boots. And work boots. And hiking boots. And...basically all boots.
In other news, I am really liking the Gravis armor on this guy. It has less of a bowl shaped cowling around the head. I don't care that he is an Iron Hands Character, I am getting him anyway (using my extra Aggressor helmet instead of the head). Seems like he will be great surrounded by a bunch of Aggressors (who also wear "high heel" boots).
I really don't see them making Gravis armored Troops, but some Heavy Support dudes rocking heavy weapons would be awesome. We already have two other Gravis armor kits for them to run with. My ideal release would be the following:
Iron Father
Primaris Techmarine (in Gravis Armor)
Heavy Support Gravis Armor Marines
Multi-part Infiltrators
Multi-part Eliminators
Multi-part Suppressors
New Primaris Transport

congrats you just explained why Primaris exist.
Because they have nothing new you want. the classic line is complete. they can only expand it by redoing stuff that already exists, (and yeah a plastic thunderfire would be nice) OR releasing hyperspecialized units (how many people do you figure bought the anti-air tanks?)
Primaris allow them, at least for now, to sell the old stuff still (they still look decent although following the CSM kits yeah they're definatly an older kit) well also putting out a TON of new Space Marine units that the fans will buy, and possiably in alrge numbers
