I know they looked different, having actual chest armor and stuff, but the Insanely-long power spear refers to Sarissa spear.

And this was, as far as I know, a weapon not usually used by the Spartans. Also, the rules of moving only 4" and requirement to be in base contact with at least 2 other models are meant to keep them in tight phalanx, like shown above.

So basically you wanted to reference a Pike phalanx and not a Hoplite Phalanx.

BTW, i am not going to lie, but a more mobile Hoplite version of such an unit i would run

I don't think I understand, inceptors suits don't seem to have any straps to fix their jump packs, but I have seen them only once in real life and it was long ago.

They have Metalbreeze Heavy Stub Pistols. The shaft of the spear is also a barrel of the pistol.

Not a knight: Icarus Ironhailer doesn't have a 4+ invulnerable save.
Wrath of the Ancient: During the fight phase, Icarus Ironhailer can alway make a pile-in and consolidate move, even if there are no units within 1" of him.
Gauntletstorm Gauntlet: During the fight phase he can fight any model within 2" of him, even if the model has a rule forbidding him from doing so.
Inside your comfort zone: You can set up Icarus Ironhailer in hiding. At the end of any movement phase, Icarus Ironhailer can be set up no more than 9" away from enemy models.

Based on forbidden Emperors Children geneseed they carry S1 D1 AP- variable harmonic sonic emitters which use a transdimensional frequency recently discovered by Ad Mech research on Necrontyr phase shift technologies.

Special Rule: Colonic Deflagration

If a unit is hit by an Intestinator roll one die. On a 4+ one model in the target unit suffers a complete and total, inevitably fatal, gastric implosion of such intensity that the models commrades are showered in bone, viscera and faecal matter. The resultant detonation of the unfortunate victim is so horrific to witness that the target unit suffers a -3 Ld debuff for the rest of the Battle Round and must make an immediate morale check. Multiple effects of this special rule stack.

Note: This special rule has no effect on models with the Mark of Slaanesh. They actually find the frequency quite tickilish.

Nor Necrontyr because...duh, robot murder zombies.

They also come armed with an Ironhail Stubber which they adamantly refuse to use due to the hilarious results their main weapon platform produces.

I.V.A.N. bomb. Heavy 6D6 S6 AP-2 D1 - weapon wounds on 5+ only regardless of strength.

Primaris Indicators, Elite choice.

Unit Size 1-6 (2 per box, $75 USD retail). Each model has an Ironhail Heavy Stubber, Heavy Bolt Pistol. 1/3 models may replace their Ironhail Heavy Stubber with an Ironhail Autocannon.

Indicators: One per phase the Primaris Indicators can indicate an enemy unit instead of shooting their Ironhail Heavy Stubbers. Turn the models so that their pointing hand points out the indicated unit. The indicated unit may have wounds in close combat re-rolled by units equipped with Ironhail weaponry.

Primaris Invalidators - Each model is equipped with 48" Auto hitting & auto wounding assult D6, Str 8 AP -4 Damage: 3+D3 special issue bolters.

When primaris invalidators are deployed on the battlefield, they invalidate all other Space Marine models.

Primaris Invalidators would be 11PPm and cost £30 for a box of 5.
