Soo... at the almost half-way point... I'm going to be painting a T'au Firewarrior for Kill Team.

I like the Sa'Cea Sept's rules in KT, and the colour scheme seems pretty damned simple with charcoal-grey clothes and dark-ish blue armour.

That said, never painted T'au before. Do they wear boots over their... hooves? Or are they bare-legged below the knee-armour? Those "feet" are a mess, and if they are bare-foot/hoof, why!?

Think its supposed to be a body glove that goes from feet to head with the armour plates tacked over the top (they dont even have straps do they?).

I am going to see how much of a unit of B2 Super Battle Droids for SW Legion I can get done, have primed them and my paint scheme is dirtily quick (paint metal, apply Creed Camo, pick out details) so six of them might be possible to get finished in the time allotted.

On parle toujours mal quand on n'a rien à dire.

Any plans on what you are going to drink while painting?

Yeah, got a load of home brewed spirits to sample, various vodkas and whiskeys. It wont blind you but it will certainly make you wish it had!

I should try to enter again. I’d try speed painting some nids with contrast paints, but I’m worried about the dry times. Could always do another marine. Any excuse to reduce the pile of shame is a good one.

I have cranberry juice on the shelf, might make a cosmo.

Pretty sure mine’s going to be a glass or two of Bulleit Rye Whiskey. I’m really fond of Rye whiskeys (the grain it’s made from) compared to other grains.

Again, as an adamant supporter of Canadian Ryes, I’m envious that my current non-aperitif favourite rye is American made. We can’t help where we’re born, I suppose.

PS: my last entry was an all-Contrast hormagaunt. I find contrast dries quick enough to complete a model in two hours.

I’m also partial to rye heavy mash builds. Even in my bourbon which needs to be 50% corn. Wasn’t fond of the offering from my local distillery, but am fond of Templeton’s (Al Capone’s beverage of choice) and almost always have a bottle of Sazerac on hand.

Painting requieres more consentration than driving, and you cant drink and drive.
When i used to drink, I figured out that painting drunk works very short term and unsustainable for any reasonable amount of progress.

But during the short term, provided that the right drunken master status has been achiveved for an hr or so one can be very focused.

So what's the timeline on this project, and are we marking any intervals with a new thread or a compilation post? Has the original challenge wrapped and we're on to the next? I suspect I'll drink-n-paint again this weekend... which one of you drunks is in charge around here?

Drunk and disorderly is the name of the game here. You want to enter again? Go for it! You want to drink your paints and use the booze to color your minis? Not going to stop you. Get drunk, have fun, paint something.

2 hours
not sober
have fun.

That’s it.

Yeah, in the interest of inclusiveness, you don’t strictly have to be drunk. Intoxication is strictly voluntary. Means of intoxication is only limited by local legalities and your own good sense.

I mean, if you want to eat the special fungus and then paint, I’d consider paying to watch a video of that.

The rules are just guidelines, and guidelines are just suggestions, and you don’t have to follow suggestions, so really, you just don’t have to follow the rules. Have fun, try to complete in 2 hrs or less.

To be fair, Goblins aren't very big models.
