Lots of nice progress in this thread already.

I am forging ahead slowly but surely…

One Tomb Kings bone giant rescued from the £shop Halloween wrack… or is it rising up from the eons of time? You decide.

The "camouflage" is ready . It finally looks like "historical fantasy", not the real vehicle. Idea is that due to the rarity of this vehicle in Japanese army the crew is more afraid of friendly fire than being spotted by the enemy. Now I have some details to paint, markings and weathering. In meantime I'm painting the crew.

Nice work all around!

We are about halfway through the month, so plan accordingly.

What a great conversion, theCrowe

Barely started, but got a little paint down on some Big Squiggoths (The dark reddish-brown and the green. I gave the blue one to one of my students who really liked them)

I forgot what the next theme was going to be (wasn't it set already? Don't recall either as my brain is all over and still recovering from august -_- ) so can't plan accordingly yet

From the topic poll thread, but worth repeating:

So a look ahead for the end of the year:
September: Absolute Unit
October: Halloween Special
November: Will get a vote thread to choose a topic, with Strongpoint being one of the options to give it a second chance
December: Open Round.

October, along with December and March, is always fixed.

Halloween huh, I do still have some harlequin things, starweaver included.. maybe.. just maybe.
Another option is two beasts of nurgle, considering Halloween is spoopy and beasts of nurgle wouldn't mind trick or treating either.

Given that my son is enthusiastically requiring more skelies for his new Khemri army I am 100% confident of having another spooky offering for next month.

Nice work on your Fett. He looks strong enough to pull the ears off a gundar.

I've been taking it slow this month after painting way more than I usually do last month. A coat of paint every other day, nothing major, try and get some sculpting time in which had to make way for painting it August. But it's getting late in the month and I guess I should get some real work done now.

I really like everything undead and skelly, but I'm all but out of skelly (only have some sprued parts of old skelly builds left)

I have decided I will make the most SKELLY'd Harlequin starweaver, as they have at least.. SKELLY MASKS. (very halloween!!!)(woooo)(+ghost sound woo)

Hope that sits right with everyone because it will get spoopy!
Will probably kitbash a few aforementioned bits of the skelly builds that are still sprued in..

Also been considering repainting the inside of my current month's entry' cape in a grey tone as the red kindof contrasts a bit too hard for my liking, any thoughts are welcome. I know I'm not winning anything anyway but its been bugging me.

I'd say I feel for you because I still remember painting Sabine for Legion, but... I think I'm suppressing that memory.

Good luck with those tiny freehands!

So it turns out I have a fitting entry this month after all.

My friend on Discord is having me do commission work on his 'munda Squats

I finally got to meet him face to face at the NY renaissance faire and he gave a box of stuff; "The squats are a commission, take your time and tell me what I owe ya when it's done..."

Pants. Through a Covid dose, and now crunching something in my back, I’m going to have to leave the mecha for a future comp :(

Please excuse any spelling errors. I use a tablet frequently and software keyboards are a pain!

The weathering on Elefant is done, it also stands on its own wheels . I also started to work on the crew, but there is still a lot to do. The next thing are the tracks.

@halfling84: I like that tank, a lot.

As I mentioned earlier in the month, I wasn't particularly happy with the ogre, so I'm entering a different model. Specifically, that Storm Giantess I got with the first Reaper Bones KS:

And here she is, all finished:

Storm Giantess

Now showing various models from the previously adandoned projects!

Painting total as of 3429/2024: 56 plus a Deva King statue
Painting total as of 12/31/2024: 107 plus a set of modular spaceship terrain and two walkers and a quad mech and five giants

Spectre done! All aboard The Ghost!

Have to decide which to enter for the contest. Probably the classic 5, or maybe the 4 non-jedi? Thoughts?

Enter all 6 and hope the guy running the comp doesn’t notice?

Drop canen (sp?) and do the group post-sacrifice?
Drop chopper to just have the biological members?
Whichever one you think has the worst paint job?

No right answer here.

I'll probably drop Ezra because the sculpt is goofy in my mind.

I almost added “If you don’t value your life/ want to die/something” but I couldn’t think of a good phase to convey how deeply, dangerously, wrong it would be to snub Chop, so just left it as straight advice.
