Indeed. I seem to be able to use a lot more thinning medium than with some other paint brands, while still achieving decent coverage. This does vary by color a lot though, as unfortunately is a FOL with acrylic paints

I hate not having access to my airbrush, all the paintjobs look so grainy when one brush paints the basecoats of difficult coverage colors such as reds. IME anything requiring over 4 coats of acrylic, painted by brush, starts to look grainy
AF. Mr Hobby Aqueous would help, since its a self levelling acrylic (has a bit of solvent in it), but their color range is sadly very limited and no direct analogies to oldhammer
BA colours exist in their range.. Mr Finishing Surfacer 1500 (White) could be one way to tackle this, perhaps..
