It's not bad, watched it weekly but it wasn't something I'd say it's a "must see". It started very cool but eventually it died down a bit and then it picked up the pace again. I admit, near the end I already didn't care much for the plot and the new characters that popped up, the story was starting to get confusing and sometimes they would mention names that did X and I'd just go "Who the feth is guy X? What wht the feth are you talking about?" but that may have just been me.

In other happier news, this is just TOO fething PERFECT.

Hmmm, maybe I'll give a pass for now. Still got other things to watch... Asura Cryin', Black Bullet, a few other shows that their last episode is finally going free to watch.

I'll keep it on the back burner list for a rainy day!

Mechs and Mars was a good first episode, though you don't see much of the Mechs yet. Kill was a pretty sweet first episode as well. Watched the first episode of the new Sailor Moon and didn't care for it at all really.

OMG Akame ga Kill had an amazing first episode! But from what my friends tell me the manga is superior. I'll probably try reading and watching it. I don't really have any expectations for the new SWO series, since I was never a fan of it to begin with. But the first episode made the series look decent, despite the silly name for the villain. It might be a lot cooler in Japanese and his name just translates over into a less cool sounding phrase.

Just got through most of Sword Art Online, I'm pretty impressed. Got about 8 episodes left to watch.

Also watching Fate: Zero, I'm not one for badguys but the psychopath mage made me laugh for like 10 minutes when he wasted that kid in the beginning.

I'm sorry, but I laughed. But yeah I'm curious where the SAO2 will go. Death Gun is pretty straight forward. Using a sword in a gun themed game is... Odd. And a feminine avatar? He looked straight up female, period! I'm wondering what that's about.

Not having watched "Fate: stay night", will I have trouble with watching "Fate : Zero?"

I'm usually ok at picking stuff up as I go, but if I'm gonna get confused, I'll watch Stay Night first

Oh they actually say death gun? Still death gun might sound a lot cooler to a foreigner/ non English speaker. Like some people find Egyptian hieroglyphics or Japanese characters cool looking, when its just normal to them.

What would "Death Gun" be in Japanese? Shinijuu. Shinigan. A less 'awkward' to be frightened of, yes?

Fate: Zero actually is BEFORE Fate: Stay Night and I was told it is superior to "stay night". It pretty much ends where Stay Night starts.

I have only watched Fate: Zero and I love how pretty much every single character is fantastic: the typical cast of all high school teens? Nope, not here. I can only count one falling into that category and yet he's fantastic together with his servant, Rider.

Try not to crap your pants when you witness the magnificence that Rider and Archer are.

In short, WATCH IT. The plot, the characters, it's all damn good.

Except for the Spellcaster and master... feth those guys. feth those guys to hell.

Almost done watching Death Note for the first time. While I definitely have enjoyed it, I'm actually kind of glad it'll be ending soon.

Also, the girlfriend decided to start watching Attack on Titan...well, she watched the 13th episode on accident, which basically recaps what happened in the first 12

No he already corrected me above, they actually say Death Gun in English. I was saying that could sound pretty cool to someone who doesn't speak English.

Like for instance, I nicknamed my Vaporeon Mizu in Pokemon. Literally just means water, but the Japanese word for water sounded cool to me, and means something that relates to my pokemon in some way. (Vaporeon is a water type)

Death gun would probably be cooler if they flipped it to the Japanese, probably.

So... recapped the earlier episodes? Needs appropriate meme...Accidentally watched one of those generally boring recap episodes out sequence?  TIME SAVED: MORE SHOWS TO WATCH BEFORE YOU DIE NOW.

I missed the second and or third episodes of death note the first time I saw it, I had much (unrealistic) higher expectations of the protagonist for having missed those bits of blatant douchebaggery. But I had a thought today and now every time Ithink of ddeath note I giggle uncontrollably and can never take it seriously again. They say they call the dude Kira from the English killer dont they? Killer, Kirra... robot chicken skit you wan mirrawn darraw? So now that's stuck in my head. Just as well.

Yeah, from the perspective of an English speaker it always sounds corny to me when animes say stuff in actual English to try and sound cool. Doesn't help that the accent sounds clumsy to me. A new one I watched the other day (forget the name but it's a Warring States set one) has one character who was repeatedly doing that.

It does seem a little weird when a character randomly says "hamburger" in the middle of the show.

Nobunagun had some odd ones there- the names of all the e-gene users- heck, "E-Gene" itself, and Dogoo, and pretty much any and all of the names were English names, and it was just weird. Especially when there were decidedly American military personnel and characters talking in this flowing, fluent Japanese, and butchering the English pronunciations. I almost feel like they should have pulled a Destroy All Monsters and just had the Americans voiced by Americans, and the French be French, and the Brits be Brits and all that.

Yes. well, unfortunantely in many cases those are actual words of the Japanese language Anything that didn't exist originally in Japan (aka, brought either in the good ol' times by Portugal, Netherlands, etc. or after the war) was transformed into a japanese word using their sounds.

Which means, their word for Hamburguer is actually Hanbaagaa, or ハンバーガー

Well, they have an entire alphabet for foreign words that were turned into Japanese words.

Yep, bullseye. Beer is biiru in their language.
They also use "Ko-pu" for "drinking glass" that's the portuguese word Copo and "sarada" for salad that's the portuguese word "salada". They don't have Ls

I recently got around to watching the first ep. of Persona 4 The Golden Animation. It luckily has better funding so the animation is much better than the previous P4 Animation, and best of all Marie is voiced very well by Kana Hana so she's given justice when it comes to portrayal. Pacing is crazy fast though since it's effectively a new game plus adaptation of the game so I would only recommend it to people who've either already finished the game or have watched all of the first P4 Animation. Also it's nice seeing Yu being all swagalicious and Izanagi being lvl 99 OP against the shadows. Still more used to the English voices than the Jap ones though.
