Would a chapter masters honor guard have the same colo4 armor as the rest of the chapter or would they have a special show uniform? The colors for my chapter are black body, purple boots, gloves, pauldrons elbows andknee pads . I was thinking maybe steel colors for the honor guard body with purple gloves and black boots. The shoulder pads are already going to be silver for death watch service. The fluff biemg to be homnor guard yyou have have dome at least one tour with the death watch

Its a game, have fun. If you arent for some reason...find a new one.

Seeing as how this is your own custom Chapter it can be anything you want it to be. As far as I know the Honor Guard are usually the same color armor as the rest of the Chapter.

My suggestion would be that for your Honor Guard they should be the same color scheme as the rest of your Chapter with one pauldron having the black and silver color scheme to honor their time with the Deathwatch. Again, these are your guys so go ahead and have fun and do what you want to do.

Just paint some details (Or entire body parts) gold and you'll be good to go.

There's ALOT of precedence for specific colours only honour guard can wear... From Blood Angels having just the helm change to... Well... Half the Horus heresy...

My Terminators have reversed colors so they stand out as vets, my Chaplains wear bone color armor, the fluff being the marine inside is "dead" and the voice is that of the Emperor. So a different armor color wouldn't be too outrageous in the chapter. I thought something that harkens back to the founding of the chapter. They are a Imperial Fist successor. I just don't wanna do Fist yellow.

The reason behind the color difference is to show ye olde random Imperial high muckity muck these guys not only look good but can fight too. Sort of like American Marines in dress blues or Army in their blues.

Its a game, have fun. If you arent for some reason...find a new one.

Short answer: no.

You should dress them up, as well. Tabards, helmet crests, purity seals, and fancy shoulder pads are all good things to work with. Gold helmets work too.

Yes,there's a lot of chapters with different traditions, the Blood Angels codex for example shows Honor Guard (not to be confused with sanguinary guard) in completely golden armor

Perhaps not, but since GW seems to subsist off sadness and pain, I can't rule it out.
