I bought a falcon from a GW outlet and took the cellophane wrapping of the package out of excitement and then about 30seconds after taking the wrapping of i realised i didn't need the falcon what i needed was a fire prism and they couldn't take it back because i had taken the cellophane wrapping off. Anyway i now thought that i could make the falcon into the fire prism (i have tried to sell it but with no luck). Does anyone have any ideas?

I thought of buying the fire prism turret but i don't know if it will fit onto the falcon and also i couldn't find a complete turret, some were selling the base of it and some were selling the cannons.

You should be able to return it even if the wrapping is off.

The hulls of both ARE identical (the FP has extra pieces that go onto it, but you don't HAVE to use them) - it's mainly the turrets that are different.

There is a new mounting peg for the FP/NS turret that fits into the turret hole of the falcon - so make sure you get that bit too.

As for the conversion itself - yeah I had this in mind ages ago with my Eldar Falcon back when the new Fireprism model wasnt out yet but this one was the current one.



And I did find and buy the prism cannon on ebay but I couldnt find the other bit (the one that "feeds" the cannon from the turret's left and am now quite hosed since it is needed but I guess I'll have to live with it...

Personally I still think the old Prism Cannon looks better than the new one because the new one is always angled down due to its sheer length and it looks somewhat ridiculous as well.

Ok i have found a cannon but it doesn't have a base (the thing that holds the cannon) also it is the long one
(i will put a picture in . . . i hope) will it fit into the falcon gun base ?

Could you find a way to mount it ONTO that sloped glacis on the front of the turret (next to the canopy for the gunner). It's not like the FP has two turret guns or anything.

The original design was for a "lower powered" laser weapon that fires into the prism, which magnifies and amplifies the input into the higher damage output and the larger crystal was often shifting focus a bit at a time to maximise energy transfer to account for target movement.

Which is not to say that it's the ONLY design for it. Besides. the original EPIC prism tank had a huge-arse prism cannon mounted on the hull as a fixed mount. Wave serpents have also changed form over time.
