Hi all, this is my first post here, and I would just like to share my work with everyone here. Hope to hear some constructive comments!

I started dwelling into the warhammer world in 2012, right around the same time when I enlisted into the army. As of now, I'm more of a converter/painter than a player, though I do know the rough mechanics of the game and have a small thousand sons army to play a casual game.

This was one of my first conversion models, I'm really into the fluff of Thousand Sons, so I figured might as well create a daemon prince for a potential future army. Without further ado, Daemon Primarch Magnus

sorry for the blur images, have not gotten the time to set up a proper set up to shoot him.

What do you guys think?

I really like it though I am not sure what is going on with his feet and cloth from the painted pictures.
Is he supposed to look as though he's kinda coming out/sinking into the terrain?

Would like some more shots from various angles.

Really though, excellent conversion

Welcome to Dakka!

Great work, looks very natural for a conversion on this scale!

Yes! that was what I was going for, the whole "my sons are dust" look, so it looks like he's rising up from the ground. I promise more photos will be up when i get my camera fixed..

More updates!

Right now, I'm working on the Daemon Primarch of the Iron Warriors.

I started with a couple of references including the cover art of the Horus Heresy Novel Angel Exterminatus (which is gorgeous I might add) and started collecting bits and here and there to kickstart the project.

Some of the items I got for this project
:Forgefiend (the layered body armor makes it a perfect torso)
:Hulk action figure (I was fortunate to go toy hunting with a friend and we found this action figure on sale and the scale was just right)
:Chaos tank bits

Here are some photos of the work in progress, again, apologies for the poor quality photos as my camera is currently spoilt (or might forever be by the looks of it)

Hopefully with this thread I will be more motivated to finish him and not procrastinate XD

shaved the hulk head and used styrene sheet to build the terminator "hood" (no idea what the actual term is called, any terminator expert would be a big help here!)

added scribings to the hood trimmings as well as playing with some bits to bulk up the hood

decided to change the scribings to sinews and more chaotic design (seems more appropriate now that he has ascended to daemonhood), and gave him his very own arc reactor!
the cables connecting to his head are made from green stuff as well as guitar wires for more variety.

Any advise or opinions would be really helpful here since it's WIP! Thanks all!

Ah of course, you've managed to pull off the effect quite well from what I can see. I was simply uncertain as the angle and cloth prevent me from seeing his feet properly.

Also;
Holy jeebus that's already looking amazing.
You're right about the Forgefiend torso being a perfect shape.

Keep up the goodness

I liked the way you posed Magnus next to a Space Wolves dread ...

Magnus looks amazing but I have a sneaky suspicion Perturabo's going to be even better. The WIP shots are genuinely exciting. Stellar work!
