I have a guy who is sayig Objective secured for gargoyles from Skyblight is different from the BRB one.
He said that because of the wording, The gargoyles still get it from another unit even if that unit has objective secured.
Can someone post the full wording so I can see?

Unless it was FAQd beyond my understanding, it was the fact that Gargoyles were not Objective Secured since they weren't in CAD. Rather they were labelled within the formation as scoring and could never be contested, thus super-duper-alpha-EXdash-scoring.
Edit, I was wrong, it's been awhile since I read it...
The rule I have:

No, The Formation literally gives it Objective Secured. Really? The one the guy gave me did not have that rule.

Yea, your friend's gargoyles don't super duper score over another Objective Secured unit. The Gargoyles in a Skyblight formation just have Objective Secured, meaning they score over-and-above any other non-Objective Secured scoring unit. If you have a SM tactical squad on an objective and it has the Objective Secured special rule and a wing of Gargoyles from a Skyblight formation swoops in and contests it, then both units are contesting each other (as they both have Obj. Secured) and neither is counted as having the objective at the end of the turn.
If your friend tries to argue otherwise, show him the wording listed in his codex/formation and then the wording on Objective Secured in the BRB, and if he keeps arguing, well... use the BRB to clock him over the head and see if that works?
Take it easy for now.

All I can remember is how he argued it made sense.

If the wording of the 'Slate says other units can't contest them then Codex (Or, in this case, Dataslate) trumps rulebook.

I would just not play with a goof ball like that... Objective secured is objective secured ( IMHO)
