I've been working for one of those big banks for the last 7 years and am tired of having my soul sucked out of me by sitting at a desk all day reviewing corporate documents. Anyone have any advice for what would be a good hands-on career to move into? Locally (Philly area) there are schools that offer training in various fields like welding, CNC milling, production engineering for power plants/chemical plants, etc.

I'm pretty much open to anything that will pay well, can be trained for in 1-2 years and will result in some kind of tangible result for my work everyday. Not sure if that's a total pipe-dream, but I gotta try something else.
