Here is the problem:

The wash when drying is leaving these awlful cracked white spots in the cracks of the model. I know what most of you will say but I have honestly used a tiny amount of green wash and made sure it didnt pool too much un one area and it still came out like this. A friend who also paints orks is having the same problems. Anyone have any advice? I might have to switch to using agrax eartj shade but i really like the green wash for layering.
Any help woukd be great, thanks Dakka!

I always press dat, if you know what I mean.

Maybe thin it down and apply two layers instead of one? Even if you use only small amounts of wash, if all of it pools in the same place...

I don't know how to fix the white spots...but the Army Painter Green Tone has always worked as my wash.

Shake the bottle more. And don't switch to Agrax Earthshade - if you want a dirtier shade, use Athonian Camoshade. It's a green/brown mix and really nice. Personally I'd just pick up a pot of Biel-Tan Green (the new Thrakka Green equivalent) and use that.

Oh yeah i forgot the new name, but i am using the newest color. Its weird because even when i apply it in thin.layers and spread it around it gives me problems. Its the only wash that.has ever fiven me these results. Its really frustrating but i guess i will keep at it.

I don't know what is doing it, but I would try several things:

Paint this on something else. Make sure it's not some weird interaction between the paint and the Wash.

Make sure that it is shaken up really well, possibly to the extent of using a mixing ball (the little bead that goes in rattlecan sprays)

Try using a hair dryer to make sure that it is drying really quickly and thoroughly.

Try a different pot. This may be a bad one.

I hope something in that set helps.

Your paint has separated, and the white spot is the thinning medium drying with no pigment in it. Shake the HELL out of it after stirring and it should work, otherwise take it back to the store, as it's a dud.

Once youve shaken it like suggested above....

Shake it again!!

That is certainly separated paint, understandable as thrakka green hasnt been sold for quite a while now. ( the pot I've got kicking around will probably show me the same issues if i had to guess)

'Ain't nothing crazy about me but my brain. Right brain? Riight! No not you right brain! Right left brain? Right!... Okay then lets do this!!

It is the new stuff i just.confused the names. Thanks guys!!! I for some reason didnt think you had to shake washes but next time i use it i will shake it really well and test it on one model if it doesnt work i guess i will try another pot! Thanks for the help!

I had the very same problem and the issue is not with your paint...
It's simply WATER.
Biel-Tan and Nuln Oil will do that if you mix em with water.
Both will provide these ugly white spots... Carefully wipe your brush or use a dry one.
I ruined the basecoat on a rhino AND a vindicator by simply wetting the brush...
