Fantastic game! Might be the first time I've seen Black Templars in action in some time. Love the Background of that Chapter (Their updates in C:SM... Not so much)

Is InControl taking a similar list to the BAO? Or has he created his own monstrosity?

Fun game. Nice to see some marines rocking the terrible tyranid swarm. Also nice to see a humble honest unpretentious matchup. Well done to both players.

Hah, I was running a similar BT list this evening (though with only two Land Raiders - four is crazy!)

Thanks for the report! I actually found it pretty refreshing to see some BT. I liked the BT list; small but potentially hard as nails. I'm really looking into a list like that except to get a Stormraven as opposed to the Vindicators. It was a bit surprising to see an army without allies, CADs and other craziness and still look to give a good fight; definitely a positive.

No earth shattering, thought provoking quote. I'm just someone who was introduced to 40K in the late 80's and it's become a lifelong hobby.

Yea he did great for a guy playing his first ever game of 7th with a very unconventional list. I love close games without silly deathstar units.

That BT list is pretty nasty. I'm surprised Reece was able to win that game.

Reece, you gotta give dual-flyrants another look, especially with the changes to FMC's in this edition (it hurt combat FMC's but helped shooty FMC's). And while you're at it, give them electroshock grubs.

Cant say this enough really. Although I appreciate that Reece prefers his "ground" bugs more than I do and he makes it work, I think the Flyrants are the non-negotiable best HQ we have. Good game however, and I was also very impressed by the Black Templar list!

Both lists are quite brutal in my mind. It was entertaining to see Nidzilla go up against a heavy AV wall. Doc did well for his first 7th ed game. Those nids though are more flexible and those Carnifexes performed admirably.

@Eldarain

InControl is actually playing a different list. He has 2-3 Flyrants and a Barbed Heirodule! It's pretty nasty.

@Polythemus, Dozer, Sarigar, Red Corsair, Daniel, Wren and SabrX

Thanks! Glad yo all liked it, and yes, the armor wall was rather intimidating.

@Jy2

Yeah, it was a tough match for the old bugs, a lot of my units were essentially useless for most of the game.

I agree though on the Electroshock Grubs, I will definitely switch those out on the Tervigon.

@Jifel

The Flyrant is good, but so pricey and they die really easily. I prefer the ground pounders as they are more points efficient and I can get more on the table. However, I feel that you pretty much HAVE to take 1 Flyrant to deal with other air units.

Excellent report! You really showed how awesome Carnifexs are this edition since they don't need to smash in order to punch through thick armor. At first glance I thought you were going to be in trouble with that much armor across the board but you put up a great performance.

Thanks, Ray! I had some good luck, too, which always helps.
