Yeah it’s kinda funny; the sculptors clearly love them and the opportunity to do something just a bit different than regular marines, but the rules guys seem like they flip flop between flanderisation and phoning it in.

Aye, the BT slightly-different-Chaplain looks like it'd make a good normal-Chaplain alt-pose with some conversion work.

Is there any existing background for him not just being called a Chaplain? It's a pretty clunky name.

Dumb tactical rock aside that Chaplain is a nice model.

It's not about background. A new model is a great opportunity for a distinct datasheet with its own special rules and weapon options to set it apart from normal Chaplains and hopefully get more sales over a simple alternate sculpt. New datasheet means it needs a distinct name, which in the case of a variation of an existing name invariably leads to something more clunky.

Looks like another model with a great set of non-options too. Would you like a crappy flamer pistol or double the number of D2 close combat attacks? If we're not paying for equipment can we at least try to make the options vaguely equitable?

Nice looking model. Not sure we need more rules bloat, but if anyone is going to get fancy chaplain rules, BT is the place for them.

Well, they can't take Librarians, can they? I guess they deserve some Chaplain variety to cover the character gap.

Very not keen on that chaplain, he's got a similar awkward running pose as Titus did and the skull helmet looks bad. And "execrator" would be a bad name anyway but all I can hear is "execrable" which pretty much literally means "crappy".

GK combat patrol is definitely a trap.

Wow, I haven't seen anyone buy a first generation Dreadnought in a while.

Hopefully this will be better than their last combat patrol where you could take the Dreadknight OR the Terminators.

I mean GK are pointless until GW finally gets around primarising them. It doesn't really matter what they put in the box, if all they have to offer is the old and embarrassing squat marines.

The ven dread is a great kit, but it’s a bit telling that everything in the GK CP besides the named character dates from 5th edition.

The GK set coming without an ugly Dreadknight makes it actually rather interesting to me

I like the new BT Chap. Honestly I think BTs are one of the best armies to showcase a bunch of dope unique variants of units that already exist. Lots of conversion opportunities there.

It'll be interesting to see if BTs get more than these two, especially since they haven't shown the new Combat Patrol there.

BTs did seem to do well last time out, so I doubt this'll be a Wolves-scale release.

Oh for sure! I didn't think we were getting anything more than the Ancient and I was fine with that.

But seeing this Chaplain and not seeing a Combat Box has me interested what else is/could be coming!

Those extra Wolves on Logan and the Headtakers have bumped up the price a bit.

AFAIK Drop Pods were €44 (£34) so there is a bit of a saving for 2.

$80 for 2 or 1 Drop Pods?

2, GW has already said they come as a pair in the kit

Surprise - if you go with the pistol it actually has 6 attacks, swapping it out only gives you +2 (this is a joke - although, while you claim its double the number of attacks, but the article doesnt say that).

There will still be people who buy them, and then make a surprised pikachu face when they do get primarisized and go "I cant believe GW did this to me, if i had known i wouldnt have bought grey knights in the first place"
