not that good world building would mean to stay consistent within its own "reality" anyway

Come on, you're trying really hard to be offended here. Is it silly they painted a conponent of a bionic arm as a heat shield somewhere it wouldn't work logically? Yes. Does that mean anyone needs to start going all anti-cropo activisim over the accuracy of their sci-fi minis? Not at all.
I am not offended at all, just find it funny that some people feel the need to come around on defending obvious mistakes from GW for not real reason at all

and GW makes such silly mistakes for a long time now, like modelling the folding stock of machine pistols as part of the nozzle from heavy machine guns, simply because the designer don't know that the MP he used as template has the stock folding forward, or the pilot light or any other stupid design element they saw on a stock image of something and felt it was needed on their own design
same problem here, the designer has no clue what that part of the flamer is but wanted it to be there so modeled it on the wrist

and in a world were people complain about Alien models not being anatomically correct (as if this would be possible) if made by any other company but GW, not pointing out such obvious mistakes is silly

Nobody is defending the design choice, they're saying that it's both not worth being annoyed over and not being annoyed at it/being able to hand wave it away doesn't make you a "consoomer".

It's not a military sim.

The ignition could be in the wrist with pressure leading the fire through the conduit of the hand/claw, so you would see just some minor flames through the grid on the wrist. Would look more impressive though than more logical design choices. Well, it's possible while not exactly practical.

Look, just because you need the really big box of Daz to keep your surcoat clean, doesn't mean people can't read what you post and judge it accordingly.

Yes, you've been defending silly design from GW in this thread, which comes as a surprise to absolutely no-one.

Is it the worst example we've seen from GW? No, almost certainly not, but it shouldn't render GW immune to forum criticism.

Still, for me, an underwhelming conclusion to Grotmas as a whole.

Perhaps Huron has a mercenary mek boy that just bolted parts on that looked like a flamer to make it work.

Fine but I don't consider slinging insults at other posters calling them "consoomers" an appropriate response to not being offended by a piece of metal in an odd spot.

That is really, really underwhelming. Genuinely would have thought it was a kitbash of a generic chaos marine kit without reading the updated thread title.

I doubt there's an STC for power claw/flamer combo, so yeah I expect this to be a cobbled together hackjob of various metal parts.

I'm pretty neutral on Huron as a character, but this is way better than the metal sculpt. And being plastic means it'll be way easier to convert as well.

Huron's biggest hurdle was being another Chaos lord whose iconic feature is a big gauntlet; Abaddon already did the best pose for that, so he's already behind. They should've had him toasting a fool, or at least a few flames. That was they wouldn't need the cheesgrater to clue everyone in on the fact he's got a literal hand flamer.

Can't wait to scrape that big fist off him and slap a bunch of bats all over. Either that or make a force themed around the time the first claw teamed up with him.
