I was wondering if any of you have, or could point me in the direction of, color photos of tanks or any armor with reactive armor that has been struck or detonated by incoming fire. I recently got a set of FW armored skirts for my next Chimera and would like to paint the damage on them somewhat "correctly" to give it a more realistic feel. My google searches have been mostly unfruitful.

Thanks in advance for any help you may have!

I don't have any references, but given that the stuff works by exploding I would imagine that the tank would end up pretty singed.

quite a nice video here with the extent of explosion from a single modern defensive block.

Nice video! You do have a good point. Given that the strike marks and bullet holes on the Chimera's armored skirts aren't from a "main" caliber gun (at least in my opinion), do you think just making the area that was hit look a bit toasty/charred be good enough?

Something like below?

Supposedly that's a hit from an RPG. I'm curious to see how others would attempt to model battle damage like this on their armor.

i was actually there thats awesome! So i would make thin pasticard and do 1 of 2 options. either cut a star pattern and then heat it up and bend the star or heat up a metal tool like a screw driver and actually punch a hole in it
