Ok so recently visited darksphere sphere and picked up about £50 worth of gear and one thing amongst the list was the citadel paint kindle flame dry paint. TIs is initially for my blood angels to give them at line highlight definition across the armour edges but there is something worrying me. I looked at the paint from the bottom side and it looks like it's completely dry inside. I mean when I move it upside down or shake it there is no movement. is this paint screwed up or is this how the citadel dry paints are?

Anyone with experience with the kindle flame paint please give me a hint here thanks

The dry paints are just pigment without much suspension in medium, they are meant to be like that. But this does somehow dry out quickly, so once opened be careful.

The citadel drybrushing shades are designed to be a thick paint since this consistency works better for that technique [for some reason], The paint is not liquid enough to move around the pot when shaken.

Basically it should be the consistency of mousse. Still wet but sort of aerated and spongy looking.

I seem to recall reading (on GW's site I think) that you are not supposed to shake the dry brush paints.

I'll offer a word of warning about that those paints. When you go to use it don't stab your brush into the paint to get it on to your brush. This can cause air bubbles in the paint and cause the paint around the bubble to dry. I have taken to just brushing across the top of the paint to avoid ruining the pot.

Otherwise yes that is how they are supposed to be.
