hey guys i know i recently started an empire log but unfortunately my empire army was causing a lack of gaming in the local club . hence forth i have started a new army the denizens of lustria were my first army back in the year of 2007 admittedly thats not so long ago but, alas my original 3000points of lizardmen were given to me by a good friend and he had primed them in car primer
anyway
i have finally decided to revisit them as the models are stunning and the carnosaur and slann are some of the best mini's to be released by gw
(back on to track) i have a pet leopard gecko who is a tremper albino , (not quite yellow not quite white with no markings) and he has been my inspiration for this army. also this army will be theme . i am not going to include any skinks except for the ones that are handlers for the monsters , so thatl include the troglodon and the stegs and bastiladon.
i started by buying the boxset battalion and anouther box of saurus. (salamanders and slaan will hoefully arrive next week.) i have nearly asembled them but il post the pics when they are completed to a stage where painting will be easiest.

just thought that id add some pics of my old blood that i finished earlier today, as said my inspiration is my leopard gecko (hence forth zhul). yellow and white are horrible colours to paint but i am so pleased with this . anyway as i watch only fools and horses and build my lizzies ill post a few pics to keep everyone interested

right just a quick post. my camera has died (poor timing) but there is good news........ a new model has arrived today and is now sat assembled and ready for painting.
introducing Basil the bastiladon.(queue the pics )
he is an epic model and a joy to assemble . hopefully when the camera has been recharged ill post some pics of him. possibly finished although it is doubtfull

the dino is done but the gold on his crest isnt and i still need to paint the entire solar engine

The bastildon is finally completed
im so pleased with him as ive never been good at painting natural armour (like nids)
anyway ive now ordered some salamanders (3 to be precise.(praise ebay!) and a slann mage priest(again praise ebay!)

so they should arrive later next week .....in the mean time its down to the saurus.

Had my first game with lizzies today. and OMG the bastiladon was horrifically good. he 1 shotted a 355pt daemon prince
it was freaking epic .how he one shotted i here you ask?
well i cast the bound spell and my opponent had no dice left for dispelling . so therfore it went through. i rolled a 6 on the chart
6=2d6 str6 hits
i then proceeded to roll 12 hits and go 9 wounds. he the failed 6 saves . bye bye daemon prince

hahah i couldnt believe it and nor could the gw staff member.
MVP better than the slann.
anyway no updates today just been gaming

That is a really cool scheme you've picked for your lizards! I think it's come out really well too, and the armour on the not-ankylosaur looks pretty great.

sorry for the few days away . i was busy sorting out my bike and helping out down at the local g-w
good news though and thought that this was needed as i had mentioned it before. i now own a slann (it arrived this morning) and 3 salamanders (also arrived this morning) oh so happy .
also i (along time ago) brought the carnosaur kit and didnt build it for lizzies but for a savage orc army. it was a wip wyvern but i had the pieces for the troglodon so i ripped off the wings reattached the arms and built the head and rider. and i tell you what he is actually really useful. not brilliant in any sense but is useful.
i have found that people usually dismiss him as being crap (because lets face it he is) but in 1 game he killed an entire unit of 5 dragon princes that hit him in the flank , and did so in a single round. ok he took 4 wounds but he crushed em back.
anyway heres a few picks . the army is going on nicely and iv started painting the troglodon
to be fair though i do suffer from shiny stuff syndrome, meaning all of the awesomeness will be painted first. eg troglodon, slann , salamanders and probably my temple guard. then the bulk of my army will get a livk of paint
