Does anyone know of a good ruins basing kit? (i.e material to make a models base look bits of a ruined city/rubble etc).

Just buy a cities of death building kit and chop it up to your hearts content. One kit will make more bases than you will ever need.

The Lord of the Rings set Ruins of Osgiliath is good. Can't get it straight from GW anymore but there should still be plenty of sets out there in the wild.

As well as the Cities of Death kits, keeping a good collection of leftover bits is also helpful. I'm also always on the look out for stuff that looks neat wherever I go. Whether that be trashed parts, old re-purposed toys, other model kits, etc. You can find good stuff everywhere!
