Geomancer Advanced Starter Sets now available!!

MSRP $24.99, but we're doing $19.99 until the end of the month.

Here are some pictures of the set i've only partly put together.

There are a lot of pieces here, you can really make some amazing boards.

----OLD OP----

On The Lamb Games and Warsenal have teamed up to announce the upcoming release of the Geomancer Modular Terrain System.

Geomancer Prototype

Geomancer will allow you to take your games of Endless: Fantasy Tactics to the next level, by giving you a fully modular 3D grid to play on.

Geomancer base sets will include an 8×8 base to match the scenarios provided in The Miasma War campaign expansion, and Endless‘ Free DLC. These bases can easily be linked together to create larger play areas in many configurations. More information on pricing, and exact contents will be released next month.

Are the unpainted squares there just to show the underside- i.e. the pieces that give different heights to the areas on the board?

Looks quite neat, well done so far guys

Yeah, the board is made up of raisers and toppers. The raisers have a recess in the top, and feet on the bottom, where-as the toppers are flat* on top with feet on the bottom. You can stack any number of raisers on top of one another, and then stick a topper on top.

I didn't have enough toppers for the prototype, as it was mainly a proof of concept sort of thing, but the propers sets will give you enough and you'll be able to buy extras from Warsenal.

*We are also planning on producing some resin toppers that will be a bit more 3d/textured.

Those look really great. The cut board with plastic tiles for water is a really good idea!

@Fox-light : That's exactly the idea. The Endless: Fantasy Tactics game uses larger sized models in that style, and allows you to build little armies out of different characters, monsters and equipment. It is pretty sweet.

Assembling the game board can now be the Tetris-like expansion for EFT!

Man, looks like a simple and clever solution to EFT boards. Great job, OTL.

It's spelled "cavalry." NOT "calvary."

Definitely gonna grab some of these to go along with my home made boards. Will probably loan the home mades to the store in Baton Rouge that's showing interest in the game.

Planning on discussing that with you soon.

We're also looking into doing some red pieces for a volcano/fire temple theme.

Sorry, No new Kickstarters until we have finished fulfilling the current one. So Geomancer will just be coming out in late October instead.

Got some new pics of the first Geomancer sets.

Here is a digital mock up of the Water Temple from Endless: Fantasy Tactics' Miasma War campaign.

This is built with four Geomancer sets, Water Temple A & B (2 of each).

And a look at one of the columns:

Pricing and Ordering information will be coming soon.

Very soon.

I pick up the initial stock on Sunday soon.

Wow, that is a very ornate column. I really like the designs, but I am concerned that the burns might not be deep enough to take paint. It looks like the flagstone one painted up fine though, so I'll look forward to seeing a painted example.

Its not part of the Geomancer range, but here is an item Warsenal does for Infinity:

I think you'll find that their terrain takes paint quite well.

That was always a concern of mine when I got my first set of MDF terrain. You will find unless you use really thick paint and don't thin it down, that is is pretty difficult to get the detail painted over. I thought that my airbrush would cover the laser marks and they don't, you literally have to get it thick or many layers just to get the grooves. If you do make a mistake, it is fairly easy to fix.

I have similar reservations about the column, but the base terrain is a fantastic idea and you can always supplement it with a cast column from another range- there are quite a few out there, although you'd have to mount it onto something with the correct footprint.

On that note, offering some "blanks" for mounting various obstacles to might be a good idea!

Fancy Resin toppers and accessories might be nice too, for maybe a christmas release.

Maybe.

Went down to Warsenal yesterday and got some more pics, with some WIP paintjobs.

We also discussed some future plans and additions for the line.

There will be two grades of Geomancer sets: Basic & Advanced.

Basic Sets
- Thematically build a preset play area (Non Modular)
- Lower Price

Advanced Sets
- Thematically build a modular play area
- Fully modular, you will be able to combine multiple themes to make unique play areas
- Slightly Higher price

So far example, the Basic Water Temple Sets (A-D) rendered here:
Spoiler:

Are $20 for the single column sets, and $25 for the 2 column sets. For a total of $90 to make the full Water Temple.

The Advanced Water Temple set will be capable of making A, B, C, or D (and more), but will have a slightly higher price.
There will also be a Blank Advanced Set, which will only have the grid lines and be closer to the Basic Theme sets price.

The Columns will also be available on their own.

The second theme planned is an indoors based one, such as a Tavern or Item Shop.

Feel free to post suggestions/requests for future themes.

Oh, and I have 1 of the Basic Water Temple Sets available. If you'd like to be the first person to own one, shoot me a PM.

Coooooooool! They really change with a lick of paint, dont they?

Do the water temple sets come with that blue acrylic sheeting? If so, how would you treat that for gaming?

Yup, the basic sets have the acrylic. I think the advanced ones will too, but waiting for full details on that, and either way they'll be available for purchase by themselves as well.

For gaming purposes, they'd count as Water Terrain in Endless.

This is looking awesome! I'm thinking this might be a fantastic solution to custom Super Dungeon Explore tiles. Expensive? Probably, but I'm thinking it might be worth it since I highly doubt I'm skilled enough to make custom tiles out of literally anything else.

Kingdom Death Fanatic. Dark Eldar: Kabal of the Fragile Breath. Dark Elves: Allegiance to the Black Crown. Also, Masons, Cygnar, and Legion of Everblight. All unnamed.
