I'll slowly improve the mobile experience and I'll post hints and tricks in this thread as I do. Here are the current mobile specific features:
In the 'forum' section of the site, when logged in, you can swipe left to right on the dakka logo to slide in an easy to click menu instead of fiddling with all of the popup menus for things like 'my subscribed threads'.
If you have any issues with odd header display on an iphone, click 'switch theme' and change to the classic theme as a workaround until a proper fix is in place.

And now I get a laptop.
Nah but really, I'll still use this often enough. That swipe menu is orgasmic after using Dakka on my Android for such a long time. Extremely satisfying!
Would it be possible to add the ability to tap 'off menu' in order to close it? Just because that seems to be one of those unwritten rules these days. Even without that though it feels seamless.

You can swipe left on what little of the logo you can see to close it or click the close button, but tapping off adds a lot of complexity given our large script library and I dont have the time to debug so extensively for such a small tweak at the moment.

Problem is, swiping left to right on a windows phone is the 'back' function. There's not so much as a hint of a menu when I try it.

My biggest gripe with surfing dakka on mobile is that the text becomes super tiny whenever someone posts a huge picture in s thread. Any chance for auto-resize on mobile?

Back butten when typing text is in the text box, quick reply, Reply post etc.
Just maybe a do you want to cancel this box.
Stop you losing what you put by mistake.
Only active if you input into the box though.
Just a suggestion to save losing your text. A lot easier on tablet/mobile

A bug I have just found on tablet. When I access the theme menu to change to Dakka Lite, instead the Maelstrom's Edge overlay is activated and the browser goes to the Kick starter.
I am using Chrome on Android.

I'm on iPad- how do you update the thread title? Because you double click on a computer but if you double tap on iPad it just zooms in.

You need to go into edit the first post, and change it there then Submit the update. As far as I know, the 'shortcut' double click doesn't work on touch screens, same for editing posts.

alas no, automated spoilers would be a bit dangerous as they can break in certain circumstances, so the freedom to add/remove at will it more important to fix any glitches like that.

Any plans on a proper mobile interface? Feels like dakka is the last forum on the Internet without one at this point :p would probably increase traffic quite a lot too!

Some posts get shown in huge fonts and others are microscopic.

Just wanted to bring this to someone's attention. On mobile when creating a new thread, if the text goes beyond the size of the text box it covers the submit button. pretty annoying for someone who primarily uses their phone for browsing forums.

If you have your screen set to auto rotate, just rotate your phone 90 degrees and the screen will refresh with your post contained within the text box and the buttons visible again.

Not sure if it's just me, but when browsing the forums on my iPhone with the worksafe theme, tapping on a topic link (or "blog view", "First Unread") brings up the post preview (that you get on mouseover when using a PC); I need to tap the link again to actually "click" it.

This is my biggest problem with reading Dakka on my phone, followed very closely by the shrinking of all text when pictures are posted in a thread.
