This is sort of a dupe, but not really?

If I might make a humble suggestion, you should define the goal of the thread a bit more tightly - as in major, third-party-generated midterm updates in that thread, and strictly personal ideas and discussion here? Still some overlap but enough to be distinct from just having 2 "general purpose" midterm discussion threads.

I gotta run in a minute but I'll post mine when I get home, I tend to side with the Green Party despite the fact my interest in environmental issues is virtually nonexistent. I just have a good match on a lot of their other stuff.

That was my quandary. Whembly's thread is more discussion about the issues affecting the mid-terms. This is more about how the members relate to their local political scene

That website was interesting. I made my decisions months ago, but this just goes to show you how messed up our political system is. I was appalled at some of the choices.

I picked New York as my state, just because if I was ever to try to move to the US, that'd probably be where I'd end up.

Hey, what do you know. I've always liked the green party.

Interestingly enough, this will be my first time voting, so that' fun.

Most with Republicans, Conservative (93% each), Constitution (91%) and Libertarian (78%). Democrats (44%)

Decent poll, but over simplifies a lot of the issues, which makes it difficult to answer yes or no.

Yeah, I found that to be a problem. And obviously as a foreigner, my views on foreign policy (spying on allies and all that) are a bit biased

I found that it was interesting to compare the results from the link in the OP with http://www.politicalcompass.org/test

When I took this test I came across only slightly right of center. But the test in the OP has me;
93% Constitutionalist
95% conservative
77% libertarian
32% liberal
So I'm taking it that the variation comes from the stances of your local politicians

There were way too many leading questions in the "Choose another stance." section, though I'm not sure if that is a problem with the quiz or the country. Additionally, the quiz often chose your stance for you as, apparently, being pro-choice entails a belief that states should be left to decide whether or not abortion is legal.
