I picked up some post humans the other day. I actually didn't realize that there were two versions of Proxy 1 in the box (I thought the second one was just an alternative view). So that was a nice surprise. Apart from they are almost exactly the same miniature in the same pose with the same head.

Spoiler:

As it happens I have some alternative heads just 'lying around', namely these ones from statuesque:

I was going to save them in case I ever wanted to convert some panO fusiliers, but I don't know how likely that is now.

I looked through the ALEPH range, and I can't see any other figures wearing berets. Do you think it's going to look too "PanO" and out of place if I use one of those heads? (I was thinking I might use the bowl cut one).

Also, since post human proxies are supposed to be synthetic people, are they maybe supposed to look the same (like twins)? I don't really know much about the background yet so, I figured I might as well ask here before I go supergluing anything.

I see no reason why you couldn't have them wearing berets. I mean, if you're looking for a fluff reason, Aleph is supposed to work with nearly all of the human factions. Even if PanO can't actually use the Posthumans, you could claim that they're on loan to PanO or something if you really need an excuse to justify the conversion.

If you've got some blue tac or anything like that, why not do a mock up to see how it looks and if you like it? I say, whatever you decide to do, as long as you're happy with it, go for it. And be sure to post pics.

Beret should look fine. Just don't paint it blue.

Think that would look fine, nice idea!

We haven't really read much about how the synthetic human production is achieved, but there seems to be a wide variety of different human sculpts for Aleph rather than just mass-production of 'Arnie Cyborgs' for example - certainly not enough to make a convincing argument one way or the other.

Thanks guys, I decided to give it a go... It was actually a bit more involved than I was expecting, as there wasn't quite enough neck to get a good fit, but here she is...

I dunno if the hat really says "killer cyborg" to me. She looks more like some fashionista going out shopping !

*sigh*

I think it looks fine. If you were a bad ass cyborg wouldn't you want to keep that secret from your enemies until it's too late.

Could you take a picture of it next to the unconverted one?

That looks like it would make a stunning Deva in a PanO Neoterran Sectorial force (though it would need the hacker arm, not the doctorin' bag).

And if you do that, then you might be able to use the rest of those head for your original plan!

“Good people are quick to help others in need, without hesitation or requiring proof the need is genuine. The wicked will believe they are fighting for good, but when others are in need they’ll be reluctant to help, withholding compassion until they see proof of that need. And yet Evil is quick to condemn, vilify and attack. For Evil, proof isn’t needed to bring harm, only hatred and a belief in the cause.”

Yeah sure,

Spoiler:

That's them together. I tried to get two from similar angles. She isn't quite as dynamic as the original, because her hair is static the original poses looked a bit stiff.

That's not a bad idea. I've got my PanO stuff from Operation Icestorm, and at least one NeoTerra Bolt. Perhaps I should swap the arms over...

Personally I find a better use of it is to swap the combi rifle on the second Proxy 1 without the bag for a Boarding Shotgun (from the Chandra weapon sprue), to give you a Proxy 2 Hacker.

That way you don't have to use the confusing Proxy 2 Sniper as a hacker, and you have a visual identifer for which one is Proxy 1 - it has a bag.

That turned out looking pretty good. One of these days I'm going to have to grab some of their heads.

I can certainly recommend them. I got some of their killer fembots and the quality of the models is outstanding. I would say even better than Infinity. When I went to assemble them I could barely even find a mold line to clean up. They're a tiny bit smaller than the infinity girls though, but still within normal human limits. They're just sort of 'petite'.

The robot girls remind me a lot of the Masamune Shirow anime Black Magic M-66. I'd totally buy them if it weren't for those heels. Totally kills them for me.

Nice subtle conversion. And I really want those fembots... I'll find a use for them one day.
