Backstreet Boys. There. I said. I'm sorry some of those songs are just so damn catchy. It's like an insidious disease that infects you and won't let you go!

There aren't really nands I'm ashamed to like, but there are some that fit the category of 'I know they're a bit mediocre, but I like them anyway'.

Green Day to an extent. I'm not at all a punk fan, but American Idiot and 21st Century Breakdown are albums that, for all their musical simplicity, I really like. The rest of their stuff, I don't really care for outside of a few songs.

Bon Jovi, again, I appreciate that it's nothing particularly technical, but for something to listen to without thinking about too deeply, it's hard to beat his early stuff.

Whoa whoa whoa! Huey Lewis, KISS, Duran Duran, Michael Jackson, and the B-52's are nothing to be ashamed of!

I'm not ashamed to admit I listen to anything, even Nsync and Backstreet Boys. I will admit that anyday. Shame is for the weak

A few pop songs that are played on the radio, including Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, hell, even that One Direction song is kinda catchy.
I listen to Metal- and Deathcore normally.

Nickelback... im really only ashamed because people tell me I should be.

Im not ashamed to be a fan of Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, and Ke$ha however, otherwise my typical is punk/alt rock.

I enjoy Katy Perry as well and I'm not ashamed to admit it... I have all of her albums and I've seen her on concert (which was spectacular, by the way).

She's about my only "guilty pleasure" musician except other than Linkin Park; I have every reason not to like them but I can't help enjoying their music.

These you should be embarrassed about. The first list, not at all.

I think Lady Gaga is really talented. I'd pay to see her in concert.

I'm also a huge Timberlake fan, but I'm in no way, shape, or form ashamed of that.

My music collection leans heavily towards German Industrial, rock, and classical music so the pop music above stands out and has caused me to blush a few times when acquaintances were looking over my play lists.

*Less ashamed by these artists than I have been given endless crap by friends and significant others for having their albums in my collection.

I'm not ashamed with anything I listen to, but one that I'm not exactly proud of either is Tha Dogg Pound. That's a bit of a guilty pleasure of mine. But in the words of the immortal bards Kurupt and Daz Dillinger, don't ever use language like this on dakka. Reds8n
Also, in certain circles I tend to keep to myself that I prefer Michale Graves over Glenn Danzig, but I'm not one bit ashamed of it. I just don't want to hurt feelings.

Take it easy. This is just a 'guilty pleasures' thread. I'm 39 years old. I'm not actually ashamed of anything but (a) my obsession with Boys II Men, ABC, and BBD (East Coast Family), and (b) the size of my Necron army, as the world starves.

Probably work

What's wrong with Huey Lewis? I think their undisputed masterpiece is "Hip to be Square". A song so catchy, most people probably don't even listen to the lyrics!

Maybe the problem is that I don't feel guilty about most of my guilty pleasures. If I had to pick one though, mine is Angels and Airwaves. ...yeah.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Heart and Soul is mine. That guitar makes me air guitar and do my best rockin face (sort of an aerobic constipation look). Huey is awesome!

Ok, I'll admit that new Swift song is damn catchy. Could be the video though...<< >>...

The B-52's first album is a New Wave masterpiece so that band has credibility and Michale Jackson's "Off the Wall" and "Thriller" albums both have a considerable amount of critical respect plus his music is super infectious, other than that you should be ashamed by the rest of those

choices.

I'm not sure about Poison... but I'd defintiely be ashamed of liking KISS.

KISS is basically the "Britney Spears" or "Justin Bieber" of rock/metal. They put out fairly "crap" music that is easily sellable and palatable to a large audience. Of course, KISS does, apparently from what I've been told, put on a kickass live show, which I can't really say for the more pop type artists.

On topic:

Elton John.

I don't own any of his records, but he makes some seriously catchy tunes and you kinda cant help but sing along. And, like jasper, I'm also a Slayer fan

I will never be ashamed of liking Cannibal Corpse, Slayer, Amon Amarth, Conquering Dystopia, Megadeth and the like.... Maybe Metallica, but they haven't put out an album since 1991, so I don't know what all these kids are talking about "new" stuff for
