Subject: Fluff on Average Vehicle Count per Company.

I'm building a 5th company of Dark Angels. I know the standard marines are 6 tacticals, 2 devastators, 2 assaults, 1-2 attached scouts, and probably singles of a Librarian, Chaplain, and Techmarine. However, I cannot find any list what so ever that lists how many vehicles on average is on hand per company. Can anyone give me an at least vague idea? I was thinking 2 or so of each other than Rhinos and Razorbacks, and probably a single Land Raider.
Help is appreciated.

Other than transports, which they will have enough of to carry the Tactical and Dev elements of the company (Assaults don't tend to get Rhinos) assuming they are in good repair, vehicles are assets that are handled on a per-Chapter basis, so they are only dished out to companies depending on what they need for their current operations and what is available/not being used elsewhere.
I don't know if there's a list of what the DA have in the codex, but the Ultramarines by comparison have:
52 Battle Tanks (Preds, Vindis, Whirlwinds)
12 Land Raiders
14 Gunships (DA currently don't have these)
19 Speeders
Hope that helps, you should basically be able to fit whatever you want into your army.

Thanks, I was wanting to know if I was going overboard if I went over 4 or so transports and more than say, 2 preds, and 2 dreadnoughts. Thank you for the clarification.

As a little point of clarity, Dreadnoughts are not usually lumped in with the vehicles of a company. They are honored veterans or leaders. They would not show up in counts of "vehicles".

That sounds perfectly reasonable, and bear in mind that, where possible, the Chapter will give a company whatever they can to help them get the job done, so, if, for example, you want to include 3 vindicators down the line, you can justify it just by saying that they are currently engaged in a siege or protracted deadlock and need the linebreaking potential of 3 more Vindis.

If you're building your own company, you could always make up some fluff to explain your vehicle arrangement. Its always good if you flesh out your army anyway.

Each batttle company should have between 8 and 10 Rhinos and Razorback if things go perfectly. 1 per Tac and Dev Squad, with an optional 1 for each Assault Squad if the Chapter prefers. There should also be 1 for the Command Squad and accompanying commander (Captain, Librarian, Chaplain, etc). Certain chapters may prefer to use a Rhino instead, or use Razorbacks instead of Rhinos and field 5 man squads who work together instead of 10 man squads that divide.
There will also be a sufficient number of Drop Pods to support 10 squads, the Command Squad and HQ staff, and all the company dreadnoughts, who's numbers are completely variable based on how many Chassis were availible and how many heroes were worthy of using it. The number could be as little as none or, like the Ultramarine's 9th Company, as high as 7 or even higher. Usually, most companies have 1-3 Dreadnoughts at most, usually the standard Mk V (plastic, Ironclad and plastic Venerable) or Mk IV pattern, but the First Company could also have Contemptors.
So the number, assuming perfect Codex requirements and no alterations
10 Rhinos
1 Razorback
13 Drop Pods
2 Dreadnoughts
