rollawaythestone wrote: Can someone confirm whether those Nectons are on 32mm? The Praetorians(?)
They are.
My Praetorians hang over the edge of my 25mm bases with the spread leg bits. And the Warrior is on a 32mm as well in the next photo. The feet aren't hanging off.
Requizen wrote: Yeah, but that doesn't change the fact that people with the old ones had to rebase to fit the new models.
No, they never had to. There has been the rule that you can use what ever came with the model when you bought them. You can easily tell the difference as the old Terminators are metal, smaller and look completely different.
The issue with the change here is the models are staying the same with Necrons and SM.
NecronLord3 wrote: Getting a closer look at the New Lord Model And it is clearly not a conversion. The head is brand new and the arms have Necron symbols on the insides of the wrists that no other bit has. A very disappointing new model.
That's disappointing. I know that some people like the "giant Scythe" thing, and I'm glad that those people now get a decent bit for it, but I'm not a fan of that personally.

Yeah. I have a number of boxes that I have yet to open that I plan of selling should the codex get gutted. Will I be a bit sad? Yeah, but I really don't want to suddenly be put back into the situation of the 3rd edition codex in power levels.
I got a Hecatondies Zero Sigma from the Anima Tactics line that I have to assemble and and paint still to use as my C'tan. Debating on keeping the wings on or not.
Example, not mine:

Yep. Every time I see that there's a new post, I look in, half hoping for new rumors, but feeling that if there are, it's going to be an indicator if I sell off my models.

But those kits are from before the single SPRUE character phase, which I used to think was great, but at these prices NO GOD-DANG THANK YOU.

Oh wow. That's dumb. Really dumb. Thank god you get a plastic Overlord with the CCB/AB. Every Necron Player has 2+ Overlords already.

The more I read, the more and more it looks like Necrons are getting a massive nerf almost everywhere, and I'll be selling my stuff.
One would have almost hoped (well as a Necron-only player) that GW would go: "Oh gak we're losing so much money. Bring back the Codex Creep so people buy again."

What exactly have you been reading?
Yeah, I've not heard many nerfs at all in these rumors. Almost buffing across the board.
I read all of the Faeit 212/Warseer things posted in the thread not realizing they were Faeit 212/Warseer

The bad guys all get Fear so the good guys seem more heroic when they ignore it. That's how you Forge The Narrative.
"I sear to god I'll pistol whip the next person that says [Forge the Narrative]!"
I guess we'll have to weld the story from now on then.

Magnets.
Better hope you don't lose that Res Orb.
LED's are the obvious choice. Keep the unused ones on.
Good luck putting wire in those Necron arms.

Nope. DShields are listed under Technoarcana, which all O Lords, D Lords and regular Lords can take.

Didn't see that.
In other news: I like Obyron.
He lost his teleport rule, but it seems as if he can intervene in any challenge and he has 2+ now (he used to have 3+, right?)
OMG OMG:
5) Caoptek Wraiths have no Sempiternal Weave, whatever that is :p, but they still have their 3+ invuln if that's what you're asking[/quote
OBY had a 2+ before. He got crapped on this codex. Shame really.
Wraiths are even more lol-tastic.

Wraithflight: When moving, Canoptek Wraiths can mve over all other models and terrain as if they were open ground. However, they cannot end their move on top of other models and can only end their move on top of impassable terrain if it is possible to actually place the models on top of it.
May include up to three additional Canoptek Wraiths (40 points per model)
Any model may take one of the following:
Whip Coils - 3 pts per model
Particle caster - 5pts per model
Transdimensional beamer - 10pts per model
They really want people to continue to use Wraiths. T5 W2 3++ Ignores Terrain (except for charging), still S6 Rending... dangit the FA slot is STACKED.
WRAITHWING LIVES!
Holy crap that's ridiculous.
Was there a decent price bump in Wraiths recently?

vipoid wrote: Apparently Ghost Arks can only transport Warriors and Characters - so no using them for Lychguard.
Welp, rip that idea. I guess it's back to putting them in Night Scythes.
Which is fine imo. More Transport room (so 10 + Character), and Solar Pulse means they should survive the first turn out of disembarking. Still, it makes them much less mobile and a lot more iffy to use now.

They are 35 right now, but Transdimensional Beamer is 5 points cheaper (whatever that's worth), and Whip Coils are 7 points cheaper. That plus an extra wound is worth 5 points more baseline, imo.
I meant monetary.
