They are not 3d printed. Well the masters that they cast from are 3d printed. Then they create a 2 part mold to cast their product in resin.

All the miniatures are cast in resin (unless otherwise stated).

That Exarch is pretty nice. Did they not carry guns? Don't remember much about Aspect Warriors outside of Fire Dragons and Swooping Hawks sadly...

I caved and ordered some Greater Good stuff off their Ebay store. Gotta say, they've really been pumping out some interesting models lately!

Poorly lit photos of my ever- growing collection of completely unrelated models!

It looks like she has a valid gear pick.

WS exarchs can take the following:
Keep the basic gun as the rest of the squad.
Take two of the basic gun, for a TL’d version (which looks like what is modeled here, just not as a rifle, but part of the extra arms)
Take a fancier rifle

And then add some CC choppy blades as a separate option (which she is packing in spades)

In fact, she has the same gear as the stock GW option

The Warp Spiders don't look very good at all (guns are silly huge and heads are also too big) but that Exarch is fabulous!

If I had an Eldar army I'd definitely use those models for Warp Spiders, those are dope.

Eh, their helmets and guns aren't really that much more massive than the GW ones my biggest issue is that I would've wanted the lower legs a bit more bulked out. That and there's the fact that they're calling the Exarch a Patriarch, despite being female. I do really like that Exarch though. I may need to get her, even though I have no Warp Spiders.

I really hope they keep that kind of style for any future human/inquisitor figures, it's good to see her a. clothed and b. with a sensible bust size. She still looks fairly well endowed, but at least it's not like someone's stuck a couple of footballs (soccer balls for the Yanks among us) up her top.

Warp Spiders look very cool. Just a shrinking of the end of the guns would massively improve them I feel.

I actually don't mind it, not a strength of the model, but it doesn't deract either. Have more of an issue with the fleur de lis (fleurs des lis for plural? GCSE French was a while ago ar this point...) and gorilla hands.

They really don't. Ignoring the fact that the classic Jes Goodwin Spiders are 20+ years old, they are still better sculpts than these (Exarch aside, that one is very good). Both the guns and the bodies on these new ones look very top-heavy and there really is no sense of balance in the design. They look silly instead of sleek and imposing. The original ones are extremely limited in posing due to technical limitations, but the core design and sculpting is expertly done and still holds up. Just look at this well-painted example I found on Google:

Despite the (realistically speaking) absurdly large gun, the pose and proportions of the legs, torso, head and warp generator all contribute to give it a great sense of balance and movement despite its limitations. Now compare it to the new ones, with their overly large heads and shoulder pads, tiny feet sticking out from the bottom. The guns are opened up like flower petals making the barrels look too big, and even though they are actually only slightly bigger than he old ones, together with the heads and shoulder pads they give the whole sculpt a sense of imbalance, both literally (in that it looks like they might fall over at any moment) and in that the proportions look all wrong.

Still need that Exarch though

Yeah, I can see the point about the weapons being too big (although they do have a supporting "arm" coming from the backpack to assist with it, so they've taken that into consideration)

I like them, very dynamic poses, lots of detail (the backpacks look lovely) and the exarch is great. personally, I would have just made a conversion pack with heads, backpacks and (smaller) weapons and let people convert guardians into Spiders though

Hmm looks like I will have to do another order from them - they are making some lovely models - I had also missed the Imperial Pin up previously.

The new Exarch is simply awesome - Glad I will be getting someone else to build and paint it though!

Warp Spider guns are absurdly large to begin with. Making them twice the size doesn't make them 'better'.

No, they really do look awful. Even with a good paintjob the warp spider guns were always absurd looking.

I still really like them. Ghost Miniatures' versions come with a nice scaled down version of the deathspinner if that's what people prefer.

I'm definitely not a fan of these spiders. Everything is too chunky and exaggerated (although ironically their chests aren't). They look a bit like I'd expect the 3rd ed warp spiders to have looked like if they'd made them. Exarch is amazing though and could almost be a phoenix lord. Would have to swap the head though as I don't like the idea of taking a random jaunt through the warp without a fully enclosed suit.

She also need to put a hemet on so her hair doesn’t get caught on those extra arms. You can see it happening.

I just received mine yesterday. They look really nice in person. I haven't assembled them yet, but the guns and helmets don't look that out of size on the actual figures.
No flash and almost no mold lines, casting is really well done.

They came in a box labeled GrimSkull, so I don't know if they are designs from another company that are just sold by Wargames Exclusive or if that is another line of their own stuff.

Grim Skull seems to be the sculptor. He/she/they have a facebook page that shows designs before they go up on the Wargames Exclusive site.

Packages also say Grim Skull on them.

Got some Greater Good figures last week. Nice casting. Scale pretty well with official GW stuff too.

Will certainly be getting more in the future!
