No, Blood Angels and Space Wolves can take Drop Pods as a Dedicated Transport for units that allow it OR as a Fast Attack. And if you take the Drop Pod as a Fast Attack, you can put any number of stuff it in, including allied Centurions, Terminators, Jump Pack infantry, the works.

ah didn't know that. So same thing with the land raider, is in HS section but can be DT if the unit takes it as DT, ok cool. Does it state that anywhere in the rules (that a FA drop pod can transport other units) or is that what we infer. Just so I can explain this to people who haven't heard of it ebfore

Its a transport so yes it can carry units even if it wasn't selected as a DT. In the same way you can jump in a heavy support Land Raider.

you won't get any argument about this once you show them its in fast attack slot. Possible moaning ? lol yea, but 100% legal

Hell I have lists where i just bring empty pods to add to my turn 1 drop total. Pods in FA is really useful.

Is it possible to psych people out by putting a squad in one drop pod, but dropping two? Or does your opponent automatically know which DP is which? This way you can force them to use up interceptor shots and other countermeasures.

You have to tell your opponent whats arriving. Other wise everyone would always just say " oh well..... you blew up the empty one" haha

Edit*** Although if there was a way to write down which one was which on paper that would be awesome and very realistic. I may have to bring this up with my gaming group
