I'm building a list for a local tournament and I'm having trouble deciding whether to take Be'lakor or just a regular DP. I usually run a DP with wings, power armor, ML 3, Nurgle, Black Mace, and spell familiar for 355 pts. Be'lakor is 350 points but doesn't have as many attacks. Anyway, I'll have dakka make the decision for me.

But he comes standard with invisibility, and that will be very helpful.

And a better inv, can get shrouded to give himself a 2+ cover save while jinking, and is EW which is *very* helpful.
He also is iirc S7 with his attacks, which can make a difference.

As much as I hate him, Bel is the better pick. And I no no real reason to hate him, I just do.

"Because the Wolves kill cleanly, and we do not. They also kill quickly, and we have never done that, either. They fight, they win, and they stalk back to their ships with their tails held high. If they were ever ordered to destroy another Legion, they would do it by hurling warrior against warrior, seeking to grind their enemies down with the admirable delusions of the 'noble savage'. If we were ever ordered to assault another Legion, we would virus bomb their recruitment worlds; slaughter their serfs and slaves; poison their gene-seed repositories and spend the next dozen decades watching them die slow, humiliating deaths. Night after night, raid after raid, we'd overwhelm stragglers from their fleets and bleach their skulls to hang from our armour, until none remained. But that isn't the quick execution the Emperor needs, is it? The Wolves go for the throat. We go for the eyes. Then the tongue. Then the hands. Then the feet. Then we skin the crippled remains, and offer it up as an example to any still bearing witness. The Wolves were warriors before they became soldiers. We were murderers first, last, and always!" —Jago Sevatarion

A Nurgle prince is a horde slayer. Be'Lakor brings more support, is better at killing vehicles, MC's and special characters.
Overall, I'd say Be'Lakor is the better pick.

Be'Lakor shines most brightly when he has a deathstar to bless with his guaranteed invisibility. With his 2+ cover save, landing him isn't really suggested until his psychic powers are less needed than his 5 armorbane & fleshbane attacks

Don't land Be'lakor until your deathstar has no threats left to it and you have no targets remaining to Shriek; he's nightmarishly durable in the sky, less so on the ground. He's a support monster built around making something else nigh-unkillable, figure out the biggest, toughest ground unit you can, and follow it around making it invisible. Don't take him if he's your only psyker or if you're expecting lots of AA, he's tough but a Fire Raptor will ruin his day quickly.

Be'lakor has better utility, so I would take him. I don't think he's as much of a beatstick, but I think he goes with a lot of lists better and can play a lot of roles.
