You are overreacting to bad TV. Video games have been shown badly (as has hacking and programming in general) on procedural like that for about as long as there has been any of them. Many of the writers don't know anything about the subject or they don't care it. NCIS, CSI, and L&O are some of the worst offenders and I doubt that will change anytime soon.

You will probably love the upcoming CSI: Cyber. I don't know anything about it but the title is just amazing.

If only you had the high score in all the MMO's you would understand.
