I... actually don't know. Help?

I personally think it's great. Awesome graphics, cool island, perfect open world. The only cons I see are the limited usage of animal hides and the few Rakyat models.

Did Fulgrim Just Behead Ferrus?

Fort Worth, TX

It was a lot of fun at first. And then I just lost interest when I got to the second half of the game (in spoiler below to explain specifics) because it felt dragged out and more of the same but not quite as good.

Spoiler:
After killing Vaas and going to the second island. The new villain just wasn't quite as good. Suddenly having this new island, with ultimately the same content and nothing really new just felt like it was a way to pad the game up to X number hours of playtime for marketing purposes. I never even finished the game because of it. There was so much build up to finally defeating Vaas as the main goal, and then, all of a sudden, it was like "sorry, but the princess is in another castle."

"Through the darkness of future past, the magician longs to see.
One chants out between two worlds: Fire, walk with me."
- Twin Peaks
"You listen to me. While I will admit to a certain cynicism, the fact is that I am a naysayer and hatchetman in the fight against violence. I pride myself in taking a punch and I'll gladly take another because I choose to live my life in the company of Gandhi and King. My concerns are global. I reject absolutely revenge, aggression, and retaliation. The foundation of such a method... is love. I love you Sheriff Truman." - Twin Peaks

I agree, it feels like
Spoiler:
Vaas should've been the ultimate antagonist. That's why I only play the open-world part, the story blows.

I'm also pretty sure it may have earned the award for "shortest game ever," depending on a certain decision you make early. And I don't mean a loss: I mean a complete, won game in about 10 mins.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

That's Farcry 4. If you stay standing at the table for 10 or 15 minutes the game goes to the ending cutscene and credits.

Farcry 3 tried to be a combat game at times and that just ruined it. There are sections of the game where there is no option but to run in with guns blazing because boring character Q ran a burning jeep into the middle of the enemy camp. It wasn't a shooting game. It didn't have the physics engine or the polished controls that a ground up shooter has. The game floundered and just died off for me and I never actually finished the rest of the game after the above spoiler section. It simply got boring.

If you play the open-world bit before the story, the story makes less sense than it does to begin with. You've taken all the towers on the first island, destroyed all the camps single-handedly, usually using stealth and patience, gotten all the equipment upgrades you can from killing and skinning various endangered animals...

...and then you're suddenly back to whiny-skinny-privileged-white-guy when you decide to pick the story up, which itself is pretty nonsensical.

Oh, and the crowbarred-in drugs trip scenes? Utter rubbish.

The only decent characters are Vaas, and that Australian guy who buys and then uses one of your friends for sexual pleasure.

Everyone else is crap.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Jason Brody was well characterised.

Seriously, Jason's all like 'oh no, I'll have to shoot someone' after liberating 20 outposts and killing hundreds of pirates.

That is just the disconnect between open world games and story.
In Assasins creed Rogue It was funny. They said "becareful of the schooner" When I was eating Manowars for breakfest just earlier

The hunting and open world very good, story not so much. And change from loser rich boy to gun-toting baddass went to quick IMHO.

Spoiler:
Really, who in their straight mind would give your friends up so easily after one nookie with the resident shaman girl

gakky franchise all around! You're running speed is like a sprint, all those endangered animals In one tiny small open world, quests are boring fetch quests, glad I didn't spend my money after watching some of the play throughs. That is my opinion that you asked for.
