So Sam's been in school the past couple months and we havent been able to play much, instead we've played the Conquest card game which is a bit of fun but not quite Warhammer.

Today we've got a game set up ready to go for when the kid takes a nap. We're playing a Nova Primer mission 1 (Blitz and Maginot) and this will be my 5th game with my 'new' Daemon army.
So hopefully she'll be rusty enough for my inexperience to win out. My list is built to be fun to play, hers is not quite cut throat but still going to give me problems.

Why Daemons will win
1) I play way more often than she does, and she's been on break. Rusty!
2) I've been playing a lot! Just not with Daemons
3) I've got lots of nasty tarpit units that can all threaten her big guns

Why Eldar will win
1) She's got some big hitters
2) She's going second
3) She has a lot of OS units
4) I have little clue about what Im doing with Daemons

If your S.O. was playing more often, she'd give your daemons a really tough time. But experience (and practice) goes a long way. You might be able to take this game from her, especially if summoning is going for you.

A lot of stuff can depend on a few rolls with the wraithknights being able to double out the prince or take out the grinder and chariot early. 8 chances at invis should solve at least one of those problems though.

I will say that you've got a lot of decent stuff in a fun list though, it's a very strong highlander list.As someone who has started running 3 burning chariots in a pure tzeentch list, I'll be keen to see how you get on, as mine draw an unholy amount of fire.

I think she's got the edge, but you can take it if she's not on her game. Will make for a great bat rep, keen to see the outcome.

For sure. I also make sure things that she simply wouldnt know due to 7th being updated were pointed out so as to not take advantage of anything silly. Summoning was a mixed bag, it worked far better for her than I.

You know that Chariot has done a LOT in most every game I've used it except this one, for 100 pts you get an effective way to handle a variety of targets quickly.

I dont think either of us were on our game, I learned a lot but its rough.

I've had some decent success with a Grimoired Burning Chariot baiting enemy fire. D3 Lascannon shots or an AP3 Torrent Flamer seems to make my opponents lay bricks. So when they see it's 'only' AV10/10/10 they like to pour fire it into it. But when you have a 3++ or a 2++ if a Cursed Earth bubble is nearby it's pretty hard to kill.

It might be worth considering that in the future, I didnt grimoire him this time. Honestly, I got the model mainly because of how ridiculous and silly it is, but its not without its benefits on the board.

A thing to point out, dogs couldnt hurt the WK past the first turn they charge (S4 base, w/ Furious Charge). I'm also a huge fan of always having a Khorne Herald in with a large unit of dogs. All he really needs is a jug and an axe and he becomes a death machine (AP2 and ID on a 6).

Yea we played that wrong, thats my bad. I do agree on the Herald, I actually ordered one last weekend. I did make down to the bunker for that 1500pt tournament a few weekends ago, thats probably my main reason for ever going down there.
