So I already have two Warmaster armies, Empire and Vampire Counts but I'd love to add some additional forces to the collection. When GW stopped selling 10mm figs I thought my dream had died but I recently discovered alternative manufactured and I'm looking for opinions on what would be the best way to go in terms of quality of sculpts and a match to the existing GW figs.
Pendraken ( http://www.pendraken.co.uk/Fantasy-c21/) has by far the largest selection, but their website doesn't show all of the figs (I'm interested in Dark Elves, Dwarfs, Skaven, and Bretonian). Can anyone offer any opinions or pictures of their figs? How do they compare in terms of scale and quality to the GW warmaster figs.
Same questions for Magister Militum ( http://www.magistermilitum.com/) and Copplestone Castings ( http://www.copplestonecastings.co.uk/range.php?range=FAN)

To be honest, while I quite like Pendraken, I'm not wowed by their fantasy ranges. The dwarfs in particular look like Asterix cartoons gone wrong.
I think Copplestone has the better 10mm range, although in the grand tradition of scale creep, they tend more towards 12mm.
If you fancy Warmaster bretonnians, perhaps look for historical Hundred Years War - or slightly earlier - 10mms.

Are Pendraken I quite like them although I mainly use them as giants in 6mm. Lead rather than pewter and slightly lower quality than GW. http://www.kallistra.co.uk/index.php?page=19 might be worth a look as well.
They are also based as individuals which may be good or bad for you.

I answer to the original posting, Copplestone as usual produce really nice clean looking minis but the range is limited.
MM on the other are not as nice (at least in my humble opinion) but their is a wider range and includes plenty of not too serious stuuf. Great if besides Wrrmaster you are into Hordes of the Things and the like.
Of course there is always Irregular Miniatures as well, cheap and cheerful - if you want to filll up the back ranks here is where to go. That said one of my friends built a Lizard army from their range and to be honest it showed that with a bit of care these too can have real table top presence

I've done some comparing and contrasting of different ranges for the four armies I'm looking at building (Dwarfs, Dark Eldar, Bretonnian and Skaven).
For the Dwarfs I like the Pendraken range, they have a nice selection that would cover most of the core and special units. Also they are not that expensive. I've ordered some samples; from pics I've seen I like the Hill Dwarf range in particular.
Magister Militum has some nice dwarfs with handguns and some with long spears which could look cool.
Kalistra has nice cannons and I like their Gyro Copters.
Copplestone castings has nice sculpts but they are a bit single pose.
My biggest problem is finding nice Dark Eldar figs. Pendraken has a pretty good selection, the one problem being that the style is not what I'm looking for. I've ordered some High Elf spear men samples to see how they look in person. Both Magister Militum and Kalistra have nice ranges and I'll need to get some samples from both.
Bretonnians should be simple, as they get covered by most historical ranges.
Skaven also get covered by a variety of ranges and should be pretty easy to pick up with the exception of the screaming bell and doom wheel. I've ordered some samples from Pendraken.

The Warmonger pike and zweihanders are great models, I've got some pike WIP on my blog here (scroll down past the Napoleonics):

Also, Polar Fox steppe goblins have everything you need for a great, characterful Ork and Goblin army.... including squigs and giants! All the way from chilly Siberia my pile of lead just arrived and I'm very, very excited about getting started on them!

I received my order from Pendraken a few days ago and am very happy with most of the results.
I ordered two packs of dwarfs, 2 packs of high elf spear men, 1 pack of dark elf cross bowmen and 2 packs of ratmen,
I got one pack of the normal dwarfs and one pack of the Hill Dwarfs. The standard dwarfs are on the left and came armed with axes and shields. nice little sculpts with 3 poses in the pack of 10. the guys on the right are from the hill dwarfs line and came armed with spears. Very nice sculpts as well
Here they are lined up next to a unit of Warmaster Empire infantry. I like these guys a lot and will be using these little guys to form the majority of my dwarf army.
This is the dark elf crossbowman. It's actually a nice sculpt but it's not what I'm looking for overall. He's got tall boots and ripped sleeves and long hair. I'm looking for more the pointy helmet/armor look.
These guys are Pendraken's High Elf spearmen. I like them a lot. The one with the shield really stood out. It's the look I'm going for and the shield is big enough for me to do some kind of Dark Elf symbol. These guys will make up my DE spear regiments.
Finally the ratmen. I'm a little underwhelmed by these guys. I don't like the really thick bases they come on and they seem large for the scale. The sculpts are a little less clean then the others as well, not as much detail. They may do, just because ratmen seem to be more of a niche subject then dwarfs or elves and men.
Sorry for the crappy pics but these little guys are hard to shoot on the fly. I wish Pendraken had better shots of their models on their site. All the figs are pretty good with nice little details throughout. The service from Pendraken was also very good and they came quick, even with shipping across the Atlantic. For the money (about $3 USD for a pack of 10) these guys are great.

kallistra bill themselves as 10mm, but are more 12/15mm and do not gel with the gw 10's at all.
http://www.newlinedesigns.co.uk I tend to buy these and Pendraken for my Ancients, personally I believe Newline to be the superior manufacturer. (and 50p cheaper too!)
They don't do much in the way of fantasy but you may find something to cover the Bretonnian/Empire side of things.
