Drop the armor, buy more heroes. Otherwise you'll be horribly hurting for income after a game. 50 pts will buy you an equipped warrior priest, I'd also exchange a zealot for a witch hunter & use the 4 points you have leftover plus maybe if there's anything left from the warrior priest to equip him.

Always max out your heroes when possible. Like Red says, get another witch hunter and a warrior priest. Warrior priests are crazy good.

Drop the armor, get shields (for ranged defense) and helmets instead (the difference between stunned and knocked down is night and day). Anything left over pour it into warhounds they're stupid good for 15 gc.

I'd recommend crossbows for your heroes, and as per above warhounds are pretty good. I used Fell Wargs for mine, as the Mordheim warhound models are pretty rare if memory serves

You won't find yourself needing light armor & a shield much tbh & axes & most missile weapons will eat your armor. I'd drop it in favor of a brace of pistols. Maybe a helmet if you're really worried about your leader.

That's a good starter list, flagellants are beastly at T4. You're good to start, and once you gain xp you can customize to fit your band. Crossbows can be good but they hurt model count, so you're fine gaining some xp for +1 bs or a shooting skill and then picking up a crossbow later.

I did a WH tactica many years ago here.

http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/48659.page#48659

But hey, TL;DR. The short version -- WH start slow but get solid with time. Best way to get there is to keep your heroes shooty and relatively safe, and let your henchmen (and priest) handle the grunt work.

If I'm playing WH, my first 365 GCs are easy.

Captain 60
xbow 25
hammer 3

Hunter 25
xbow 25
hammer 3

Hunter 25
xbow 25
hammer 3

Hunter 25
xbow 25
hammer 3

Priest 40
hammer 3

5 Warhounds 75

That leaves 135 to spend. I'm not crazy about spending too much on Flagellants right off the bat, but I like them more than Zealots. So I'd probably add:

2 Flagellants 110
Flails

That gives me my max of 12, and keeps 25 gc in reserve. I like to start with a little in reserve in case the first game goes pear-shaped. The shooters will start slow, so I'll be quick to vol rout if possible. Once the heroes get even 1 BS increase and one skill (Quick Shot), the rubber will hit the road.

After that happens (assuming a longer-running league), start looking at the halfling cookbook or halfling scout to overcome your low warband cap...and don't overlook Academic skills.
