Not sure if this deserves its own thread yet, please lock/merge if it should go somewhere else. New rumor from Natfka:

via an anonymous source on Faeit 212
I got a good piece of news from a friend who works out of GW in Nottingham, He claims "new GUO coming in a month, maybe 6 weeks. Its a much much bigger model, posed in a similar fashion to the FW one but seems to have Nurglings spread around the base and guts. Theres some head variations too.

Not sure how to really feel about this. I really think GW fethed up big by not allowing to make a GUO out of the new glotkin kit. Seems like a really wasted oppurtunity. I'm also kinda bummed that Nurgle and Khorne continue to get so much attention while Tzeentch and especially Slaanesh get so little.

If its true though, hopefully we'll also see new LoC and KoS models soon as well.

Whiff of bandwagoning, but then one of the two big H's has said he's seen a new GUO. I assumed (and I don't think I was the only one) that it was, or evolved into, the Glotkin, but I guess anything's possible.

I seem to recall an end times rumor saying there would be plastics for the Khorne and Nurgle daemons but not for the other two because @#$% them, that's why.

The rumor I heard was Khorne and Tzeentch, not Nurgle...

I thought the Glottkin was the new GUO, especially since it's about the same size as the new bloodthirster.

Same, and I'm certain others are using him as one probably.

I've only seen an Endtimes spoiler for a new Bloodthirster, not sure about the others.

I dunno, it seems pretty feasible to me and Khorne/Nurgle do get all of the attention.

Id really love if it was that classic fat one with big grin, multiple horns and a mouth on stomach. moneycannon.jpg.

How could I look away?

Nope. Different body types.

A "wasted opportunity" for GW would have been not cashing in on making two kits.

As a Tzeentch player I hope this is utter BS.

Khorne & Nurgle, they've had more than enough new goodies. Dammit, even Slaanesh has had more model love than Tzeentch! It's our turn for once, especially since Tzeentch is still the only God who doesn't have his own dedicated unit in the WoC line-up! (yet Khorne now has 3, because... "reasons" )

Tzeentch has a a character GD. The only one with a model. Slaanesh doesn't even have a named GD. So yeah. We get "more love". You mean the special marauder riders? I'd rather have a named GD.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Does it make perfect sense to anyone else Khorne and Nurgle get the most attentions since they're more likely than Slaanesh and Tzeentch to take to the battlefield? You're not worshipping Khorne if you're not spilling blood, I feel like Tzeentch worshippers are much more likely to apply a degree of self preservation and avoid violence altogether. Same goes for Slaanesh to a lesser degree, while Nurgle still thrives on the battlefield due to the conditions it creates, rot and famine and such. It's also cooler if some of the gods just aren't as common, Tzeentch is the most esoteric and wisdom based, and as such would probably attract fewer worshippers than Khorne to begin with.

I feel GW does this on purpose, if they ever came out and said it though... nerd rage city.

The way I see it:
Tzeentch starts the wars, Khorne fights the wars, Nurgle rolls around in the rotting corpses after the wars & Slaanesh entertains the soldiers back at camp.

If one is coming, I hope they'll move away from the "sack of crap"-design. Yeah, I know Nurgle should be bloated and whatnot, but the current design is just a potato with a swordarm...

Yeah well take a look: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/Warhammer/Warhammer_Monsters/GREAT-UNCLEAN-ONE-GREATER-DAEMON-OF-NURGLE.html

I'm not saying it's bad, but seriosly, ignore the pustules on the surface and you basically get a sack with arms and horns. I think that one might be one of forge's least work-intensive models, at least from a work invested per object size point of view.

I disagree, it might look simple, but to try and do it justice is a different thing.

I think that slaanesh won't get any love because he'll get destroyed in the new 40k end times fluff (wishful thinking, but hes definitley the runt of the litter anyway )

tzeentch probably full plastics right before daemon rules release, so everyone buys them (because daemonstar), then the rules get killed in the new dex

Just as planned.

EDIT: Also 40k end times has been shot down more than once.

Forgeworld GUO is great, I love showing it to my leftist neo hippie friends with a statement that I bought it as a sitting buddha parody because I am against enlightment or moderation and think meditation and nirvana are ideas for loosers. GUO helps a lot to validate my stance especialy that it's hard to keep a straight face when a serious and heated debate ensues, I hate boring parties heh.

But it's an incredible model too, genuinely upsetting and funny at the same time.

All the Daemon ranges have gaps.

Three of the four are missing plastic GD's.
Khorne is missing plastic Flesh Hounds and a plastic Herald.
Slaanesh is missing plastic Fiends and a plastic Herald.
Nurgle is missing plastic Beasts and Palanquins.
Tzeentch is... actually pretty complete. They have plastic everything. And ultimately an army with all plastic models has a lot going for it.

There's a plastic Herald Of Khorne and Slaanesh.

Not surprised you've blocked Tina Turner out though.

Tzeentch is the only one missing a proper kit, but there's plenty of options like the Chariot rider, the WoC Sorcerer etc..

I think the army needs some sort of Nurgle War Engine, which doesn't exist as of now, as well as some kits for mounted Heralds.

Huh.

Well, yes, you could use the Chariot pilots, but I could have sworn up and down that the others were plastics too, but I checked and you're right, apart from Finecast being a dirty word these days of course.

Oh well, a plastic update would give them an opportunity to make versions that weren't gak.

They wouldn't TAKE that opportunity, but they'd have it!

My biggest fear is that we've entered a phase where GW doesn't re-do old models but just keeps making new units.
