So a I was contemplating starting new army, I was hit by the idea of making a army full of C'tan. it goes as follows:

Destroyer lord 110
Shard of deciever 240
2 shard of nightbringer 240*2
2x5 necron immortals 85*2
3 transcendant ctan 250*3
1750

It is supposed to walk slowly forward while pounding enemy with 6 random ranged atacks, with immortals homebasing and lord turboboosting around for objective grabs.
Would this army work?
How competetive this list would be?
If you think it is weak, could it be fixed with points salvaged by discarding only 1 C'tan, nad with whhat units?

If nothing else, your list is not legal as the Nightbringer is unique IIRC, so you can't have 2.

You also have no anti air, your warlord will easily be killed and you've got minimal anti tank bar some good rolls on your powers.

You have barely any troops so will suffer greatly in most objective based missions.

Dark eldar would have a field day with all their poison attacks and playing against podded sternguard (decidedly less rare than DE) would also give you fits.

Centstar would pull down a shard every turn and imperial knights would smash your face in rather quickly too.

Grey knights should be able to go toe to to with you without too much trouble as well.

Tau would have a nice time as well as you trudged forward while they fire everything at you from 30" away.

It'd certainly be impressive, and many armies would be caught off guard and crushed, but if you're truely looking to be competative, remember that people are already dealing with 5+ FMC's with lots of dakka via the "nids codex. If they can handle that, your guys aren't going to fair much better since you're not flying and don't have access to invis.

If you're doing C'tan spam then get a conclave of the burning one in there with a Night bringer and a godshackle, solar staff and Veil on the Crypteks. DS in front of the enemy and cause problems, a T8 C'tan that can only be snap shot at is tough for most armies to deal with. Make the Deceiver your Warlord as he's the lowest threat level of your C'tan, failling that give it to one of the DSing C'tans (I would DS at least 2 of the tranny C'tans).

Not sure why you give up STW so easily according to Drassius. But this army will be a blast as stated you'll have to drop a Shard as they are unique, if the five go for you it will be devastating against you all you have is slow moving MCs that do nothing. Also pray for no Dark Eldar as they just bury you.

I think you should take Tesseract Vault instead of that many normal C'tan. That is AV14 super heavy with IWND, so put it on a skyshield landing pad, then outside the almighty D weapon, almost nothing can take it down quick. It has much stronger version of C'tan power, though it is still quite random. Just remember when you are down to the last 3 HP or lower, get this thing moving into enemy blobs and dare them to attck.it.

Thanks for feedback!

BUt what is the Godshackle you mentioned? Can't find it in the codex.
And how can i make Shard of the deciever warlord when it's Elite?
Would it be a good idea to stick to 4 deep striking ctans (3 transcendents and 1 conclave of nurning one with weil of darkness) and homebase with aegis+Comm relay so they all hopefully come turn 2 deepstriking midfield?

Check out Exterminatus, god shackle is a 10 point item that adds +1 S&T to a C'tan. The rules for the Conclave are also there. Any character can be your Warlord it is not tied to a HQ slot at all.

You can only have 1 Transcendant C'tan unless the second one comes from the Escalation source.

You are mistaken, I believe. While the Elite C'tan are Unique. The Heavy ones are not. Unless I am missing something.

As noted, only The Nightbringer and The Deceiver are unique. You may field multiple Transcendent C'tans.
