This is my "Iron Werewolf", A Custom Space Wolf Knight Titan.

I have designed, in 3D a multitude of new components to use on the standard GW kit that transforms the Titan into a "Iron Werewolf" This unit still counts as a standard Knight Titan, but I wanted to make its theme match the rest of my wolf army.
I thought it would be a fun project to take on and I must admit it was a blast! Took a LOT of time to 3D model everything but I am happy with the results.

More pictures here! https://www.flickr.com/photos/shaneblomberg/16204457804/

The custom components are available for purchase through my shapeways site: www.shapeways.com/shops/GadgetsPlus

The customized parts for sale include:

-Iron Head

-Helfrost Annihilator

-Claw Feet

-Hersey Knee Pad

-Lightning Claw COVER

-Shoulder Pauldrons

Looks absolutely amazing, but $205 for the lot seems ridiculously expensive... and that's before spending $140 on the Knight itslef (yes, I know I can get discounts, but I'm talking MSRP). Have you considered trying to work with a company that does resin casting and mass produce these for cheaper? You'll likely sell many more.

I'm with Kriswall. These are fantastic but I balked at the price of the components.
An alternative would be a package deal at a discount?

Back to the model though, fantastic work, and the parts look incredible. Good use of the Dreamforge claw as well.

Hollow out your models better, FSUD needs walls of about 1mm, more than that is fairly wasteful. (Shell command in most software iirc)
The shapes you are using shouldn't get warped or anything. If you are having trouble hollowing pieces split them into separate parts.

Don't get me wrong, it looks awesome and I don't have a knight to judge things by and if you were going to cast those in resin, the fact they are solid would make it easier and they would probably cast up fine for me, with the exception of the power cables.

I actually thought it was a GW model when I opened this Your painting is bang on the heavy metal team's look.

Not really in keeping with the fluff, but such incredibly good work, I can't be too upset.

And don't fret the price - if someone wants it enough, they will pay for it.

I am making about $2-3 for each of the parts I sell. The incredibly high price comes from the 3D printing method itself, so unfortunately any discount on my end means giving them away. I am working with someone now to try and get these babies in peoples hands for MUCH MUCH less, since honestly I did this project for the fun of it, and I'd love to walk into a hobby store one day and see something I've designed being played with on a table. Hopefully I can gt something together sooner rather than later.

Haha, people are already buying it up!

Yeah well I figured Russ was never big on the codex anyway... And they never really got along with the Eclisiarchy, so whats stealing a few knight titans? haha

I've already hollowed all the big fat parts out to cut down on cost. The Helfrost by itself SOLID was $75 (cost), so I hollowed it out and reduced the cost by almost half (Still $$$$) I use solidworks, so I use the "Shell Tool", which I set to Shapeways specificed minimum wall thickness for the material "Frosted Ultra Detail".

Haha good eye on the moldability! The power cables (on the feet) are what got messed up when I first tried casting these parts. I originaly designed these to be 3D printed ONLY... And only much later did I say "hmm it would make sense to cast these". I will be going back and re-designing the parts so they can be cast much more easily.

A friend of mine runs a shop with a 3-D printer. He says the printer is a good way to work on designs and make masters, but not a good way to produce productions models. Have you considered a more traditional way of reproducing your parts that may be more cost efficient?

Making master molds and casting them from resin would probably be a lot cheaper, provided it was an in-demand product that would warrant the investment up front.

This is the "base" of the Claw.
http://dreamforge-games.com/products/right-handed-mauler-claw

It looks like it is just glued to the end of the Reaper Chainsword, and then the "Wrist Guard" is just put over the top to give it a cleaner look. I've been wondering how the Dreamforge Claw looks in relation to the Knight anyway, but this shows that it seems to scale pretty well.

The OP has already answered this, but the claw is from Dreamforge.
It's the Mauler left hand claw. You can usually pick one up for around $30 on ebay/amazon.

OP, not thread-jacking, just wanted to help since a lot of people are asking.

I've attached these to one of my Knights; here's my admittedly mediocre description of how, since I didn't do a shot-by-shot WIP (maybe next time).
It's actually pretty simple and self-evident when you begin the work, but you need to do a fair amount of cutting and sawing, with some sanding (dremel comes in handy to smooth things down).

Assemble the chainblade as normal, and then cut off the end, leaving about an inch sticking out from the "hilt".
The portion should stick out enough that it slides into the "wrist" cavity of the assembled mauler claw, and bumps up against the raised round portion (copper colored in the picture).
You get the wrist cavity by sawing off the cog-like wrist of the assembled mauler claw.
The top shield of the claw covers a lot of the work done. What the OP has done is created his own top shield which looks way better. Mine is heavily green-stuffed since the original has these weird grooves in it, so I smoothed them over.
Edit: For comparison's sake, OP's Wolf-Knight claw is much cleaner than mine, and he has brought the "wrist" a lot closer to the arm.
Hope this helps.

Thanks for uploading! Sorry all, I completely forgot to upload pictures! I really like the green stuff job you did, as I completely agree, there are strange grooves in the standard wrist-cover by dreamforge.
The only diference between your version and mine is that I lopped off the entire chain blade down to the hilt itself, without leaving any blade at all.

If any one is interested I have attached an image of where I first got the inspiration to use the Dreamforge claw. It almost looks like it could have been a comp for the origin knight to see what other accessories GW was thinking about doing? As the first time I saw it was just after the knight was annnounced... In this image it looks WAY smaller, maybe it was the 15mm left hand mauler claw? Although at the time that component wasn't avaialble in that scale. Anyway, for any one out there, you now have TWO different scales of mauler claws to choose from, 15mm claw, or 28mm claw. Also, i tlooks likes they chopped the chainblade off AND THEN attached the fist on the OTHER side of the arm (So rotate the chainblade so it faces backwards, then lop it off, slap the claw on)

I am only selling components which I designed myself, that fit onto an existing model as a conversion, I've taken off any GW emblems from the files which can be bought (For example, the wolf head on the shoulder pad)
