Hi, I've started my army list using the 6th ed. Codex IG, and had taken a squad of 8 Kasrkin (including 1 sergeant) as elites.
Now I've got the 7th ed. Codex AM, so I planned on using my Kasrkin models as Tempestus Scion counts as, however looking at the new Codex, it seems to say you need at least 3 squads of Scions in your army if you want to have them as allies/elites.
I'm confused.

TL;DR can I take a single 8-man squad of Tempestus Scions as an elites choice using Codex AM?

Thanks,

Archie

The Militarum Tempestus Platoon Elites option is composed of:

0-1 Militarum Tempestus Command Squad
1-3 Militarum Tempestus Scions

The Militarum Tempestus Scions is a 5 man unit by default with the option to take up to 5 additional models.

Hence, you can take a single Militarum Tempestus Scions Squad (composed of 1 Tempestor and 7 Tempestus Scions) as a Militarum Tempestus Platoon choice.

TL;DR... Yes
