nope...
I was actually going through a lot of Drone./AI/robot related things the other day with some contractor friends. It would appear someone already stole my robo lawnmower/snowshoveler idea.
It will be just like with the automobile,
one day, no robots,
next day, robots everywhere.

What really freaks me out is when he does the fist pump the spiders go into their aggression stance.

So.... I'm the only one completely underwhelmed? It's just a motion control system hooked up to some extremely simple pre-programmed motions for the spider-bots. It's not exactly a breakthrough or even new for that matter.
The spider-bots themselves are cool but also nothing new. Not sure how this is a thing.

The video's work-blocked, so I'll catch up later.
I'm more interested in the control of these things.
It's wireless, so there's a chance to go man-in-the-middle, and snatch control of them.
Once this works as a proof of concept, and the bomb-squad bots are tooled-up, it's time for full-on drone-wars.
How long before every squaddie has a bot? It'd either cut casualties, or drive them through the roof.
