So, I'm going to be turning my tax return into a Spartan Assault Tank to go with my 40k Word Bearers. I have heard that a Spartan is pretty easy to assemble...until you get to the tracks, then its a bloody nightmare. I'm also not really too keen on the aesthetics of the current treads (you could say i HATE them), so i'd really like to use different treads. I could swear I've seen some before, I just can't remember where. Anyone know of any viable alternates that look nice and chaos-y?

Do any of the Blood and Skulls Industries treads fit the Spartan?

I know this pic has them, but its also a custom Spartan made from a Land Raider, so i'm still unsure whether these would fit the real thing. **warning, pic is HUGE**
Spoiler:

I could also swear i once saw a Spartan with 1/35 scale treads from an older Soviet tank model...but i can't find or remember where.

If you don't know of any good alternative tracks, could someone who already owns a Spartan please tell me how wide the treads are?

Any help would be wonderful guys, thanks.

Amazing looking treads, where did these metal ones come from?

Somewhere in south-central England.

There are lots of after market track sets for historical vehicle models.

Check on Hobby Link Japan for options.

We're not very big on official rules. Rules lead to people looking for loopholes. What's here is about it.
