JB: I like the concept of a free Shrike roaming through the treetops of the jungle. I'm not sure that I like the idea of a real Shrike sitting on my couch eating my Skittles.

ok... since i am not able to do any detailwork... i could bring myself today to start the GS work... i instead went the shifty way and worked on the base... i decided that the feet looked akward for me... looked y bit like a horseshoe to me... so i cut up several wine cokrs i had into rubble and glued them to the base...then i mixed a special sauce of PVA water and sand into a nice paste... and the generously apied that mix to the base... in essence raising the groundlevel around 1.5 cm on avaerage of the base... and this is now how the base looks...(note the small hand... my so felix wanted to test the stickyness while i was taking the first pic^^)    till it is cured the whole base rests it´s yucky behind in this plastic storage box... later on i have to be able to clean it up a treat... it´s my wifes favorite food box....

the hoves will be getting some toes soon... and thus eliminating the hoved look^^
as of now the hips are hollow... will seal them with the lids of the cans from photofilmboxes...

I thought the feet were just the starting blocks for further detail  I think they need to be larger myself he may look a little unbalanced other wise IMO, the rest is taking shape nicely but you need a shot with the head attached
One mans junk is another mans treasure ………. so they say although these days that term could have a completely different meaning.

mate... you are very spot on with your assumption to the feet... they will get biggerized! i have two toes each in the front and one on the back for each feet... these then get detailed too...
and also spot on for the demand of the head glued on pic... currently uplaoding just that! Automatically Appended Next Post: and here are the head added pics:
note: the neck will get some GS work done too...so don´t feer it´s current weedy look...^^

I have to agree the head positioning is great, the look of destruction and menace to it.
Even in this early stage I am getting the feel of this, however a little nit picking he looks nocked kneed, I would imagine this will be readjusted later but ruins the feel slightly in the picture.
I know it will be sorted but just alters the feel when looking at this killer and thinking has he got rickets ……. LOL
