With my power klaw, chainaxe and plasma pistol I figured I needed something to wear. Even if the only ones who might see me in it are my chickens.

So I've started building a set of Orkish plate

using a shirt for a guide I took measurements and made a pattern out of packing paper. I then drew the pattern out onto two sheets of PVA foam. I then cut out the pattern using my hot knife. I then used a heat gun along the edges. you have to be carefull with that you don't want to blister the foam or melt it. I used short charges of the heat then while its soft I bent it into shape. Rinse and repeat until it was just the right shape. I then too dollar store cutting sheets, and used it to seal the seam

I then used some card stock to make a pattern for the belly pattern on the plate. I then used that to cut out several pieces of pva foam to fit. I layered it on the belly in a scalloped pattern and hot glued it into place. I used a dremmel tool to try and clean up some of the edges.

I then made a pattern for the chest plate and cut it from the pva foam. I wanted something odd for the face and made a wedge cover. I used the heat gun to try and form it to the bottom plate. I need to fill in some gaps in the chest plate and clean up the wedge but so far I think it looks pretty good. I'm also thinking of attaching some red underlighting in the wedge to light up the face plate

I'm currently working on the back plate, I have the rough form done but I don't know if I should build on a thruster pack or make it simple or build in heat sinks or other stuff. What do you folks think would a thruster pack be best? or just keep it simple.

while I was working on this I felt I should make a battle mask so I could wear it as a just a costume with out to much trouble. So using left over pva foam, some red leds and a cheap jason mask I built this.
