Welcome to my intro thread.

I have been a 40K collector since 2001-02 when college buds got me into Marines. Since then, I've owned nearly everything and even worked for the Citadel. Now, I mostly model and look at my bitz collection wondering just HOW much has changed since I last played in 4th Ed. I know, I know.

I'm just here mostly to look at pretty things like conversions and paint work, but I might even try to get a real army together and play Tau or something.

The title leaves me with a lingering question; what kind of robotatas? Mechanicum? Tau (god forbid)? Or maybe you are blest and love clanking ork robotatas of glorious dakka?
Another more curious question of mine is what kinds of bits and bobs have you collected? Any kind of theme or majoring faction, or maybe just something random here and there that looked cool

I have collected a mass of streng verboten Tau pieces along with various Marine (dreadnoughts!), Eldar, Dark Eldar, and even Necron goodies. I might get a few Mechnicum bits to fool around with too. Mostly, I just get them out once in a while and look at them, dreaming about what I want to do with them. That, for me, is a hobby in itself. Gaming, not so much.
