Just kicked off our club's Necromunda campaign.  We're calling it "Lower Wacker Hive" as a little shout-out to folks with Chicago connections. You can see the Yaktribe page for the campaign and the stats for all the participating gangs here:
http://necromunda.yaktribe.org//tools/campaigns/1988/Lower+Wacker+Hive+

No particular slant for the campaign, just an ongoing milieu for our Necromunda games.  They'll probably only  happen every month or so but when games happen they will be blogged and I'll notify folks of them here.  This week was the first round of games and 4 of the 5 of us gathered at my house.

I just wrote up the battle between my Van Saar Gang "Fjord's Folly" and the Goliath gang "The Juggernauts". Full report and pics here:

A good time was had by all and it was another chance to use some of my more recently constructed Urban Terrain, much of which is built in a rather necromunda'ish style.

Glad you liked the pictures. I'm not sure what was missing from the battrep. Did you click on the second link?

Campaign night 2.
My "Fjord's Folly" Van Saar gang was soundly beaten twice in a row by the "Panther Moderns", but it was a great time. First they managed to loose a "Showdown" and get one of their gang members captured even though they outnumbered the enemy. Then they proceeded to completely cock-up a rescue attempt. Full report here as well as a couple pictures of the game that was going on next to us.

As I play more games I'm more and more impressed with both the original author's of Necromunda and the tasteful improvements of the "Necromunda Community Edition" editors. The scenarios especially are so wonderfully evocative and well developed.

Cool stuff.

Funnily enough, my friend and I are about to start a campaign this weekend using the old box set rules.

Thanks for pointing out the NCE to me. I will send it my firends way.

Thanks Filbert,
I've been working towards a critical mass of necro-useable terrain. It is alot of fun to play on!

Easy E,
I really like the NCE. It's not really terribly different, but it does seem to make up for a more balanced and less messy game.

I can't see the gang stuff at the moment, so can you walk me through what gangs you have int he campaign?

You are obviously Van Saar and we have also seen Goliaths and Delaques. Any others?

Great battle reports on a very impressive table! The density of nicely painted (and built) terrain really makes a difference.

Thanks Folks,

Easy E,
We have
-2 Delaque gangs
-Van Saar
-Redemptionist
-Escher
-Goliath

Though many have only played in one game.

I've just about acquired the figs necessary to make Cawdor and Orlock gangs as well. If I can get them painted up I hope it will encourage other club members to join in.

Thanks!
If the terrain is your interest, I've blogged it all and linked it sporadically on Dakka, but for easier access you can find an overview and links to nearly every the terrain piece on this yaktribe topic http://gaming.yaktribe.org/community/threads/urban-terrain-update-july-9th-layout-pics-and-bridge-teaser.2975/

Do you have any recommendations for alternate Cawdor guys?

I have found alternates for many of the others, but not Cawdor so much. I run a cawdor gang, and have most of the "official" ones all ready. I was hoping to branch out AND avoid the Specialist Games Ebay prices.

That's a tough one. There are various hooded cultist types out there, but they tend to be long-robed as well such as the "gasmask cultists" from Pulp Figures. http://pulpfigures.com/products/category/8

If you can do the mask/hood with greenstuff, I think I've seen some good mods using Brettonians.

Pig Iron Kolony Ferrals have some potential, but they're a bit tatty. http://www.pig-iron-productions.com/kolony-ferals-c-3.html

Anvil Industry "House Crowmantia" http://www.anvilindustry.co.uk/index.php?route=product/category&path=98_100 probably has the best potential.

Good Luck!

Thanks Bottle!
The individual pieces are blogged at the link 2 posts up, but rest assured as the campaign progresses (we're doing a necro night every month or so) I'll put up pics of each battle.

We had a quick one-off a couple weeks ago that I haven't blogged yet, but it was at a FLGS so we used mostly their terrain with the addition of my containers and scatter pieces. Looked pretty cool though. I'll try and get it posted this week.
