Doesn't matter if its from the table top, video game or a movie. I want to hear it!
At the moment, mine would be on the table top when my Chaos Sorceror used Hallucination on a squad of fire warriors that were also backed by a Cadre Fire blade. Rolled and got You, you are the traitor! (you know the one im talking about). Then I watched with glee as the fire warriors proceeded to beat the fire blade to death. Easy Slay the Warlord.

Rolled on the Warp Storm and forced my opponent's Libby on Bike to take a LD test on 3d6. He failed and I got a new Herald of Khorne that then got shot the very next turn.

My favorite moment probably comes from a tournament game I was in last February. I had Azrael and an entourage of Tactical marines get assaulted by a Necron Overlord and a bunch of Lychguard. The overlord issued a challenge (he had to due to his warlord trait), and Azrael accepted. Because of his high initiative, Azrael swung first. Through a pretty good streak of luck with the dice, Azrael managed to kill the overlord in one round of combat. He could have said "Anyone else wanna negotiate?" I ended up losing the game in spite of this, but that moment was pretty awesome!

I once had a lone sergeant charge a full squad of Necron Warriors, beat them in melee, cause a failed morale check, run them down, earning just enough casualties to cause a phase out. Since I only had three or four models left, and he held all the objectives, it was the very definition of a last minute Hail Mary to win the game.

That is always so satisfying.
Speaking of DoW LAN. I was playing a assassinate skirmish against a friend. I was necrons and he was chaos. I was playing very defensively, with a choke point set up covered by turrets and all that other fun stuff. Eventually, he was just sending constant waves of enemies which was starting to wear down my defenses. So, i took my Necron Lord who was inflitrated, teleported him into my enemies base and walked around until i found the Daemon Prince hiding in a corner. proceeded to beat up the prince and since he was too busy trying to break through, he didnt even realize what was happening. Then, once dead, the game told him he lost, he looked somewhat confused and I was crying with laughter.

Some pieces of good laugh in this thread.
Personnally, I had two unbelievable moments during a battle against my best buddy, who plays Eldars. We were in Maelstrom of war but not important.
Second turn, his command jetbike squad with his Autarch pops up on the wrong flank and fails its charge on my nearby artillery. My single Manticore rolls a 3 on the number of shots and my Earthshaker battery scores one direct hit against the filthy xenos. The jetbike are wiped out and his Autarch with a rerollable 3++ inv rolls a 2 and dies instantly. I just couldn't contain my laugh.
Then, on the last turn, I was winning by 1 VP and one of the objectives was held by a single surviving Vet. He was swiftly assaulted by a jetbike Farseer and two of his remaining minions.... and survived thanks to a surrealist succession of 1. We rolled for next turn but the game ended right there, giving me a short victory.
Needless to say, I promoted this last Guardsman as Warmaster of Imperial Forces for our campaign. He deserved it.

Mine would actually have to be the day I finally convinced my mom to buy me the 2nd ed box set. I had "played" (as much as anyone could play it) RT once or twice but hadn't thought about it in quite a while. Then one day my mom dropped me off at a hobby shop while she went grocery shopping next door. The shop was musty and dirty and wreaked of cigarettes. It seemed a rather unfriendly place and as a little kid I was less than thrilled to be in there (wasn't much into model airplanes to begin with). But then as I made my way towards the back of that shop the smoke parted and the box sets for Space Marine and 40k second ed. emerged. It's all I could think about for a few months.
Then came that fateful day when my mother finally broke down and drove me back to the shop and we picked up 40k2nd ed. This was the single greatest day of my life up to that point, or at least it felt like it at the time. I remember reverentially opening the box on the floor in my room and very gingerly handling the three books as though they might explode if I handled them too roughly. I sat there for an entire weekend just staring at the books and putting models together so my friends and I could start playing. I kind of wish I could go back in time with a video camera and film it because I'm sure I looked down right rediculous. I was just so filled with a sense of awe at the world and scope of 40k. You would have thought I found an actual artifact that contained the secrets of the universe in it. I get a pretty good laugh about it now, but thinking back on it, I still get a tingle down my spine remembering the day I finally cracked the seal on that box.

That's what you'd say in those days, "give me five bees for a quarter", is what you'd say in those days. And you'd go down to the D&D shop, with an onion in your belt, 'cause that was the style of the time. So there I was in the D&D shop..." |

I was playing Ordo Reductor against imperial guard - Calleb Decima (my warlord) and his servitors in a mechanicum LR cruise up to half way before the LR is destroyed - he bails behined a nearby wrecked taurox and charges the scions in his turn. he stays locked in combat with the last scion until the assault phase of the 'guards turn and reconsolidates towards a chimera. he stays still for the movement phase and uses 'curse of the omnissiah' to fry the chimera - inside which is the enemy warlord (who takes a wound) and command unit! they bail and calleb charges them; he survives overwatch and challenges the 'guard warlord - he refuses and a commissar steps up and gets minced in the second round, my next turn i challenge the warlord again only to mince an officer. next round i challenge again but there aren't any more characters left - Calleb minces some more guardsmen who then fail their morale check and run off the board with his warlord in tow!!
That was an epic game - we both reminisce about all the crazy things that happened that game!

2003 Toronto Grand Tournament.
For the first, (and only), time ever, I had a winning record of 1 massacre + 1 very bloody draw. Waiting for my game 3 opponent to show up...
I look up from pulling the first batch of my Salamanders out of my case, and there in front of me is the reigning 40k UK staff champ Phil Kelly totting his Ulthwe army.
7 game turns later, (hooray for Sallies and their 'I can play an extra game turn' shenanigans!), Phil's down to less than a dozen smelly pointy ears while I have about 40% of my forces remaining.
Most epic win ever!
That was only equalled by the 2004 Astro Toronto event where I had a shiny new infantry + 2 Sentinels Drop Troops IG army...
One of my Platoon Command Squads had a Priest w/Eviscerator, who managed to actively kill more pts of my own army than my opponent's by causing large explosions while carving apart enemy vehicles...
His most destructive rampage was when he caught up to a lone Penitent Engine that fell 1" short of making it into the giant combat involving my Heroic Senior Officer + Com Squad (including Regimental Banner), 2 Infantry Squads, a small remnant squad, the Sisters' Cannoness, 6 or so Celestians and a couple basic Sisters...
The resulting 6" explosion killed my Heroic Senior Officer, his entire command squad, the Junior Officer and his command squad, and a dozen or so guardsmen across the various squads, which ended up bringing both Infantry Squads down to under half-strength. (and therefore no longer Scoring Units...)
The Sisters lost absolutely nothing, except for that poor Penitent Engine.
While the small crowd of nearby tables laughed at my poor dice rolling and horrible luck, (I'd just turned a near-guaranteed victory into a solid defeat as I no longer had any Scoring Units left), standing beside me was Phil Kelly, who helpfully imparted a few words of wisdom to me:
"Now, I'm telling you this not only as your friend, but as a games designer, I can tell you that point of 40k is to kill the other guy's army and not your own!"
I at least earned a friendly pint for the sheer entertainment value my dice provided that day!

In 2000, when I walked into the FLGS and saw the Land Raider box. My stepdad had heavily pushed me into Ultramarines at this point, and at eleven years old I can say I was madly in love with the boys in blue. So when we walked into the store so that he could purchase yet another tank for his IG (he had more than a whole army, I had a tac squad) I saw that box and I had to have it. I remember telling him I would give him all of my money when we got home, and earn whatever the difference was. That was the only thing I got for like three months, but hot damn it was worth it.
Gameplay wise my experience is limited, so it would have to be when my friend and I were playing the final mission out of the Deathstorm box. The Beast of Phodia had just dismembered my dreadnought, so my terminators were moving to engage it. I charged my little 5-man squad of Death Company into his Children of Cryptus (which included the broodlord) and in combat they killed five genestealers, losing only one of their number. He failed the ensuing morale check and then watched as the squad with it's scary brood lord panicked right off of the table!

My favourite 40k moment had to be when I travelled to Italy, and while I was there I met up with two Italians who played 40k. We could barely communicate with each other, but we got through a game of Warhammer 40,000 together, laughed, and had a great time!
Our identity as gamers has made me feel welcomed wherever I've travelled in the world.

Played a Spearhead game back in 5th.
There was two moments of note during that one game.
One is when my 3 Defilers shot at 3 Venerable dreads in a cover( they had a 2+ cover save because ruin+reinforced by the Techy and one of those artifact from Spearhead that gave them a +1 cover save), i make 3 Pen hits, he rolls with lots of confidence of course, triple 1's...
Then after a long rant from his part and me lmao, we proceed to roll the damages, i get iirc 1 weapon destroyed, 1 immobilzed and one explosion, of course because venerables are venerables he makes me rethrow the 3 rolls...triple 6...
The look on his face...priceless.
In the same turn or later can't remember, one of my dimished Zerkers squad is in position to charge his 4 plasma cannon Devs, but i failed the difficult terrain test and was too short, next turn he then proceed to shot my Zerkers with the plasmas, and i have to hope of them surviving.
Place first template, deviate...towards his own unit...
Second template, deviate, towards his own unit..., throws the scatter dice somewhere in the shop and gets a new one.
Third template,...deviate out of range.
Fourth template, again deviate on his own unit...
Imagine the surprise of my Zerkers to see that the SM guys, where gaking their pants so hard at the idea of the Zerkers charging them, that they shot themselfs...
It happened 5 or 6 years ago, and i still bring it up sometimes, of course he laugh about it now, but at the time the rant seemed with no end...

Loving the stories!
Another DoW story.
Another assassination match. I was guard, friend was Eldar. I sat in my base all game, waiting for the AI to send their leaders to me. Once again, it came down to my friend and I. For about 20 minutes, I held out against constant attacks from wraithlords, avatars and warp spiders. It was glorious.

Lots of them playing Sisters.
Celestine rising once more to grab an end game objective out of nowhere and steal the game at the last moment. She's also managed to tarpit a Great Unclean One long enough to secure victory.
Or an Exorcist rolling multiple 6's to protect itself from final penetrating hits.
Two other Exorcist examples:
On turn 1 firing two of them into a squad of Obliterators in ruins (we play with lots of terrain) and rolling two 6's. Even with the cover save they were destroyed.
Also having Tau immobilise an Exorcist and explode an Immolator on turn 1, only for that Exorcist to return fire and blow up a Hammerhead and the Dominions to melta a Broadside apart in retaliation.
A fun army to play.

That is crazy! Did it have low health or something?
Did a fight recently where I was nurgle themed Daemons army where I had 4 squads of 9 nurglings backed by a herald (I was using cultist and fire warriors to proxy them). Lets just say that I VERY quickly lost track of who had how many wounds and how many models should be in each unit when they all piled in on a group of termies. It was the best.

The other players was kicking my Eldar's ass... and kicking it hard. At the end of the game the only model I had on the board was a single Dire Avenger Exarch, firing his two Shurikan Catapults desperately at the entire sisters army.
However, the game was a tactical draw, because that one Exarch happened to be standing on my objective when we rolled the die to confirm the game was over.
